Get involved. Membership in the Tulsa Metro Chamber represents an investment in your business and
your community. Utilize your Chamber membership by volunteering for a committee or
task force. Your input and participation is vital to the success of the Chamber’s program
of work, and there are many opportunities to get involved and plug in to some of the
largest issues affecting the region’s business climate and quality of life.
Business Retention & expansionVolunteers assist with outreach to our existing businesses in the Tulsa area. Through
referrals, recognizing red flags, scheduling and attending site visits, we can determine
what services, resources or support is needed. This is an opportunity to provide
support to existing businesses in the Tulsa area as well as share and network for your
business with other companies through site visits and volunteer interaction.
CaReeR aCCess ColleGe Readiness CoaChes (CaCR)Work with a teacher as advisor in a Tulsa Public Schools classroom to help prepare
students for career success and college readiness after high school.
Ceo RoundtaBlesGroups of eight non-competitive CEOs (or equivalents) serve as each other’s advisory
board and support unit. Roundtables are self-governing groups that meet monthly for at
least two hours to share best practices and exchange ideas in a confidential setting. Must
be the business owner/president/CEO and have annual revenue in excess of $250,000.
entRepReneuRial ventuRe oveRsiGht Committee (evoC)A task force of resource and education partners, and entrepreneurs who serve
to support small and emerging businesses through mentoring and educational
programs. All members of EVOC will be asked to consider serving as a mentor
to a small or startup company, providing guidance and direction to them during
their growth phase. This group will focus on identifying needs and services for our
emerging business community.
hospitality CluBIf you enjoy building relationships, consider assisting at Chamber networking events
and representing the Chamber at member special events such as grand openings,
ribbon cuttings and open houses. This is a great opportunity to meet new members
and welcome businesses to the Chamber. Capacity is limited and volunteers are
recognized in Chamber communications based on attendance.

workforce of the future. Participants assist with connecting services and businesses
to expand and grow a dynamic and diverse skilled workforce. Participation in this
network includes sharing information related to work trends, networking assistance
with talent, and referral of resources for business. This volunteer opportunity is

and individuals managing these processes or activities within an organization.
mosaiCThe mission of Mosaic is to leverage the region’s diversity to create an inclusive
community and improve the economic and social climate in the Tulsa region. Mosaic
serves as a council for diversity and inclusion, focused on the business case for diversity
in our region. The Mosaic Committee will be focused on providing diversity and inclusion
training for regional companies, as well as providing opportunities for leadership
development through partnership with Leadership Tulsa and Tulsa’s Young Professionals
(TYPros). Participants in this committee will be asked to serve on one of three committees.

onevoiCe ReGional leGislative advoCaCy taskfoRCesPlay a part in shaping the Chamber’s regional legislative agenda through creating
the OneVoice Regional Legislative Agenda. The OneVoice Agenda is developed
through the collaboration of more than 300 regional partners representing more
than 40 chambers of commerce, municipalities, counties and economic development
organizations. Through these partnerships, the OneVoice Regional Legislative
Agenda has come to reflect a unified commitment to improve and develop economic
stability for northeast Oklahoma through active participation in our state and federal
political processes. A key part of the OneVoice process is its task forces, where
experts in each field come together to identify problems and craft solutions for the
region and state. Task force choices are:
» Business Retention and
Attraction
» Development, Economy and Taxes
» Education
» Energy and Environment
» Health Care
» Labor and Human Resources
» Regional Tourism
» Small Business
» Transportation

paRtneRs in eduCation Partner your business or organization with a Tulsa Public School location. Formerly
known as Adopt-A-School, businesses provide resources to supplement students’
learning experience and provide support to school administrators and teachers
through volunteering, school materials or monetary donations.
paRtneRs in eduCation steeRinG Committee Join a group of educators and community leaders who work to enhance and grow
the partnership program and connect the business community and civic groups
with individual school sites in the Tulsa Public Schools district.
ResouRCe CampaiGn This annual campaign provides 25 percent of the Chamber’s annual operating
budget. More than 180 volunteers generate revenue for programs, events,
publications and memberships during a 10-week (April-June) campaign. The
campaign provides a great opportunity to meet business leaders throughout the
region, earn commissions and a coveted trip with community leaders. The 2012 trip
destination is Costa Rica.
small Business CommitteesCommittees work to foster and empower business opportunities in our community.
Each committee promotes and provides services that address financial,
educational, legislative and other concerns to the small and minority business
community. Members must join a small business committee to be considered for
the Small Business Council.

marketing Tulsa, development overviews, and joint marketing opportunities. The
