The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) is Australia’s largest association for Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners. OUR MISSION To serve and advance the interests of Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners in Australia.

GOVERNANCE The SCLAA is the truly independent Australian Supply Chain and Logistics association run by Members, for Members. The SCLAA is a registered company, limited by guarantee with an experienced Board of Directors and is proud that its activities are conducted nationally and via State divisions, in accordance with the wishes of its Members. The SCLAA constitution enshrines:

DIVISIONAL COMMITTEESAs a financial member of the association, you can apply to become a committee member and support the growth and development of the profession. Every committee has a Division President, secretary, treasurer, and representatives for membership, education, awards, social events and regional development. There are also sub-committees working on projects such as Women in Logistics, Mentoring, career development, Future Leaders and school-based training. Membership of a committee is a useful way of developing your personal knowledge and skills while contributing to the expansion of the profession and the wider industry.

AFFILIATIONSMembers have the opportunity to be involved in events and information sharing with the SCLAA’s many affiliates. The SCLAA has current affiliations with the following international associations Asian-Pacific Logistics Federation (APLF), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Supply Chain Management Association-Canada (SCMA), China International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF), Global Supply Chain Council (GSCC), Vietnam Supply Chain (VSC) and Supply Chain Council (SCC).

AUSTRALIAN SUPPLY CHAIN & LOGISTICS AWARDSThe SCLAA has been running the Australian and Supply Chain & Logistics Awards for over fifty years, making them the most prestigious and influential in the Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport industries. This is a not-to-be-missed event in the industry calendar. Nominate yourself, your company or a colleague and be recognised by your peers in this historic award program.

FUTURE LEADERS GROUPThe SCLAA fosters involvement through specialised focus groups such as the Future Leaders Group. If you are looking to build your knowledge and career then the SCLAA Future Leaders Group can work for you. The SCLAA Future Leaders Group (FLG) supports young Supply Chain & Logistics professionals & practitioners 25 years of age and under by providing networking and education opportunities relevant to career development. This is part of the SCLAA’s continued commitment to increase and improve overall Supply Chain excellence through education, as well as through practical and appropriate involvement.

MENTORING PROGRAMThe SCLAA runs an annual Mentoring Program so if you are looking to partner with someone so that you can improve your self-confidence; expand your professional network; identify areas of opportunity within your career and how to take advantage of these, then the Mentoring Program could be just what you are looking for. Each year the SCLAA looks for Mentees who are committed to developing themselves within the Supply Chain, Transport and Logistics industry. Similarly, if you are an experienced member of the Industry who is looking to ‘give back’ some of your knowledge and are committed to helping further individuals in the industry, then you can become a mentor within this program.

CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL LOGISTICIAN The CPL is a professional qualification that aims to provide the definitive standard for measuring capability and professionalism within the supply chain and logistics profession worldwide. CPL status attests to your professional recognition by peers and employers, of your significant experience and knowledge to implementation, management and improved logistics initiatives. The CPL credential is recognised across Asia Pacific through the Asia Pacific Logistics Federation.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP BENEFITSThe SCLAA has established divisions in all states providing an active networking and educational events program to meet the needs of its Members. At the National level, the SCLAA conducts the Australian Supply Chain and Logistics Awards which are over fifty years old. At the State level, the local content and flavour of events is the strength of the SCLAA. The structure and local representation of the SCLAA at the State level maximises the relevance of activities to its Members. With many diverse activities each year, including Breakfast Briefings, Site Visits, Logistics Lounges and Golf Days all Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners will find their particular needs catered for. Events vary from State to State. Corporate members receive the benefits of individual membership plus the opportunity to provide their people with support from the SCLAA’s many events and programs.
