Hadassah Shabbat Zachor
• “I worked with our Bnai Mitzvah students and each had a part to tell about Hadassah. For each part they had, I gave them background info, i.e., youth aliyah, advocacy, etc., so they could learn what they were talking about. I provided the introduction and final talk about HMO. This year the attendance was even greater because the parents of the Bnai Mitzvah students also attended. Rabbi Andrea Berlin was our guest speaker and she coordinated her talk to highlight the important role of Hadassah and women in Judaism. No doubt we will do it next year. My thought for next year is to have each of the Bnai Mitzvah students in 2016 pair with a teen in Israel who has either been treated at the Hospital, been at Youth Aliyah village, etc. and tell their story.” – Sandy Sidorsky

Every day we are hearing about new and terrible terror attacks in Israel. Our renowned trauma team has treated victims who range in age from 2 to 79 years old.
If ever there was a time to speak up and support the people of Israel, it is now. Here’s what HWZOA is doing in the United States to support Israel . . . .
Presidents’ Conference Call – 10.19.15
• We were able to get Bill DeBlasio, Mayor of New York City, to visit HMO on Oct. 17 with news crews. We hope that his visit will show the world how our Hadassah medical staff, both Arab and Jewish, is treating terror victims and perpetrators alike without discrimination.
• We are making our voices heard in national and local newspapers across the country through a powerful advertising campaign. A half page ad appeared in the Wall Street Journal on October 15.
• MGO’s are making calls asking for support and a letter is going out to the entire Hadassah database.
Presidents’ Conference Call – 10.19.15
• We are extending our reach beyond the Hadassah community to Jewish communities around the nation through informative eBlasts asking for support. Eleven external email lists have been contacted, including those of JPost, JTA, Times of Israel, My Jewish Learning and others.
• Our National Action Center is urging supporters to write to President Obama, Members of Congress and Senators to put diplomatic pressure on Palestinian leadership to condemn the ongoing wave of terrorism.
• Hadassah has launched a social media campaign asking supporters to share our posts and to post photos of themselves in Israel to show their solidarity.
All of these actions, as well as updates, stories and other resources, are being posted on a dedicated webpage at hadassah.org/stopthebleeding
