ADVISORY BASICS Advisory Options

Fee for Service:

Investment advisor representatives (IARs) may charge their clients a flat or ongoing fee for advice and counsel. This fee is charged for various services provided relating to financial service representation.

Non-discretionary Asset Management:

IARs may utilize either advisor directed or sub-advised account management options and charge an advisory fee as a percentage of assets under management (AUM).
