"Rendez-Vous"WITH THE PRESIDENT Follow us on
(…) I stand here now, very grateful for all the achievements and challenges that have strengthened the ISF family; but most of all, I stand here to look forward for the youth, education, and sport. Yet now is also the time to re-flect, consolidate and to continue to build up the ISF together. The ISF has reached an unprecedented level of development: what is waiting ahead of us is as exciting as it is challenging. This challenge is one that we must be wil-ling to accept. This challenge is one that I am ready to accept, while finding a balance between authenticity, continuity and openness for the next four years. (…) The ISF has tremendous potential. And, we will manage to achieve our ambitious goals because of who we are, because of what the ISF stands for, based on the values the ISF shares and promotes worldwide. Authenti-city shall guide us in giving a solid structure to our federation.
For more transparency and better coordination, the work, already engaged on several fronts, will be carried out by different commissions. The profes-sionalisation of our events and programmes shall be supported, on the one hand and on a daily basis, by a young and dynamic team, and, on the other hand, by experienced elected officials divided into several commissions that will lead the way forward (…) The ISF will keep encouraging youth partici-pation and empowerment through innovative projects on gender equality and inclusion, such as the creation of the first Inclusive Games. We hope to give more opportunity to the youth by strengthening the propositions of the
Youth Council and developing stronger programmes on educa-tion for teachers, coaches and athletes. The ISF is, and shall
remain, an inspirational model to the rest of the world of edu-cation through sport.
This world changes fast. It hosts generations whose challenges evolve every day in terms of environment, peace, and education. Gathered around common values, we stand here, beyond our differences, to tackle these issues, not because they are easy, but because they are hard and wor-thy of our greatest efforts. And we are not willing to delay. (…) Together, let’s now consolidate the future of the ISF

MOROCCO | MEMBER COUNTRY HONOURED | 17
A member country honoured
The aim is to participate in the implemen-tation of the strategy of the Ministry of National Education, Professional Learning, Superior Education and Scientific Research in school sports. Gymnasiade 2018 is the second ISF event that Morocco has hosted. Previously, the ISF Cross Country was organized in Mar-rakech in 2000, with 22 participating coun-tries.
Every year, Morocco organizes national championships of school sports: team sports, cross-country, athletics or, as in the case this year, prepares for the 2018 Gym-nasiade.
Teams of Morocco also take part in the ISF events all around the world. Morocco took the second place on the po-dium of the overall medal ranking at the 17th Gymnasiade. The young Moroccan athletes reached this honourable place for the first time, with 33 gold medals, 23 sil-ver medals and 32 bronze medals.
The host country, also with the largest de-legation, represented in all disciplines, with more than 252 athletes proudly wore the colours of their country. In addition to the young athletes, 250 Mo-roccan volunteers were mobilized on this major event to ensure its success.

MOROCCOIn 1996, the National Federation of School Sport of Morocco - Fédération Royale Marocaine du Sport Scolaire - was created.
This new Executive Committee gathered the next day to validate various decisions that would consolidate the key elements of this new 4 year term. The governance code has been approved which is in line with the implementation of good governance principles of the Euro-pean Commission that the ISF committed itself to. The Executive Committee accepted the endorsement, for 2 years, of the new Technical commission presidents of Bas-ketball 3x3, Samir Abaakkil, Morocco, of Beach Volleyball, Gina Grajeda, USA, of
Handball, Constantin Caliman, Roma-nia, and of Rhythmic Gymnastics Marche Cadens, Spain. A consensus was reached that the prio-rities for the next term are work on the legacy, education and principle of good governance. Lastly, the members have agreed on post-poning the discussions concerning sta-tutes, bye-laws, and commissions until the set-up of an extraordinary executive committee, to be held from 14-17th July in the new headquarters in Brussels, Bel-gium.

GYMNASIADE VILLAGE | ISF & YOUTH | 19
ISF & Youth
One of the new additions of the Gymna-siade 2018 in Morocco was the opening of the sport village. From the 2nd to the 9th of May, the sport village welcomed ath-letes, coaches, heads of delegation, VIPs and visitors under an open sky and fun atmosphere.Inaugurated by Saïd Amzazi (Ministry of National Education, Professional Lear-ning, Superior Education and Scientific Research), the village also hosted 500 young local school children throughout the Gymnasiade to raise awareness on the values of sport and the ISF. A large di-versity of stakeholders came to promote education through sport, cultural sharing and fun activities on four different areas: institutional, animation, games, and show zones.
Every day in the sport village several edu-cational activities were set up for all par-ticipants. The Youth Council of the ISF initiated and ran the Fun&Skills Zone. Dynamic young volunteers from all over the world pre-pared games that were built around three topics: inclusion, sustainability and health. This was the perfect opportunity for par-ticipants to share their experiences and test their knowledge. The Regional Anti-Doping Agency (ORAD
Africa Zone 1) was also represented by an educational agent: through interactive games, visitors of the sport village were made aware and tested their anti-doping and health knowledge. The School Sport Foundation also had a stand in the village and presented its ac-tions through different educational games about multicultural exchanges, sharing and openness to the world. The SSF supported more than 50 stu-dents from 13 ISF members to come and take part in the Gymnasiade 2018.

GYMNASIADE VILLAGE
SPORT VILLAGE FOR ALL
First and foremost a competition, the Gymnasiade is a milestone in the life of athletes to create amazing sporting me-mories.
Throughout this main focus there remains a highly appreciated opportunity to share cultures and experiences beyond sport. Every day, students could go on cultural visits to discover the Moroccan culture, its history, art, architecture and gastronomy in Marrakesh and in Casablanca.
At nightfall the cultural festival enlighte-ned the main stage on the village. During four evenings of the Gymnasiade the teams took up the exciting challenge of performing and introducing their country to other delegations.Video, dance, song; every initiative utilised was a fun medium to share one’s culture with the rest of the world.

The programme stems from the knowledge that an active lifestyle is an
essential part of a positive daily routine for children, teens and families. The
goal of Kinder+Sport is to increase levels of physical activity among young
generations around the world, giving them the possibility to develop a skill-set
able to help them acquire proper behaviors and social and ethical attitudes.

up with the most worthy values of sport and life such as honesty, friendship,
unity and trust in others.
INTRODUCING THE NEW ISF LOGO AND ANTHEM | MISCELLANEOUS | 21
Miscellaneous
INTRODUCING THE NEW LOGO AN ANTHEM
One of the decisions of the ISF General Assembly in Brazil was the final approval of the new logo and anthem. Both were developed with the goal of enriching and advancing the unique image of ISF.
The ISF logo has been changed 3 times altogether since the establishment of the organization in 1972, each one de-monstrating the maturing nature of the organization. We are proud to present the new logo which, with a modern gust, still preserves the true identity of ISF. The re-cognisable violet colour, which is a mix of equal proportions of blue and red, remains in the main visual aspect of the logo. Vio-let symbolizes the balance of the spirit and sense, intelligence and passion, love and wisdom. The 6 colourful squares were broken into pieces around the letters showing the drive towards expanding our horizons and the constant growth in the number of member countries. The irregular na-ture of the pieces points out the infinity of young people from different backgrounds and cultures which come together at ISF events and form a powerful generation of future leaders.
The change of the frame, from round to square, illustrates the improvement of the organizational aspect of ISF and the constant development of its structure, from which a more quality output is pro-duced. The biggest triangle is surrounding the letter “S” which points out the great importance of that letter in the abbre-viation. The letter “S” represents; school, sport, sharing, society and many more, all words that are closely connected with the core of ISF’s identity.
THE LOGO THE ANTHEM
For the first time, ISF has its own anthem, which was written by Daniel Capelletti. The anthem was recorded in January 2018 in Jet Studio, where the Brussels Philharmonic Or-chestra together with the students of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels performed the piece under the direction of David Navar-ro.. Since the final approval of the anthem on the General Assembly, it was used at the Vol-leyball championship in the Czech Republic, and will be used in all protocol moments in future ISF events.
The anthem is a joyful and bright represen-tation of ISF’s identity, with a pinch of formal sensation. The powerful melody motivates listeners to keep being active and easily be-comes an earworm. It is a big step towards an even more memorable and unique branding of ISF. Most importantly, the anthem per-fectly presents what ISF brings to the lives of young people - joy, union, and empowerment.
