See the Signs Campaign

AMA Queensland responded quickly to the latest flood disaster by re-launching the successful See the Signs mental health public awareness campaign. Partnering with Queensland Health, See the Signs encourages the community to look out for symptoms of mental distress and anxiety among friends and family and to seek support from their GP.

AMA Queensland E-Connect

AMA Queensland has launched a service allowing members to make an appointment with AMA Queensland representatives. AMA Queensland e-connect enables members to select teleconference, videoconference or Skype facilities to allow for greater interaction. Now it doesn’t matter where you live, you can contact AMA Queensland quickly and easily.

AMAQ Foundation

The AMAQ Foundation has undergone significant changes over the past twelve months as it looks to strengthen its role in the medical community. It continues to build on the doctors doing good initiative, raising funds to finance and implement:

Improved medical education (through bursaries to medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds)

MedConnect is a mentor program that is an AMA Queensland initiative designed to assist medical students to reach their potential.
