PRESIDENT’S CORNER PRAYER
We invite You today, Loving Father, to
join us in welcoming our new member.
It is always wonderful to have new friends and new allies in the service of
Rotary and for the glory of God. Thank
You very much, Lord, for inspiring
ANGELO DAVID BERBA to join our
club and reward with your kind bless-
ings to resourceful sponsor.
As we beseech You to put Your
words of wisdom into the mouth of our
fellow Rotarian who will administer the solemn charge, please bless and con-
firm also the renewal of our member-
ship vows.
We believe that Rotary is a
Way of Life that strictly adheres to the
“4-Way Test” - the primacy of truth, fairness to all, building goodwill and
better friendships, and considering on-
ly what us beneficial to all concerned.
Finally, we believe in the object
of Rotary which is to encourage and foster the ideals of service as a basis of
worthy enterprise, in particular:
Friendship as opportunity for ser-
vice
High ethical standards in business
and professions
The application of the ideal of ser-
vice by every Rotarian
And the advancement of interna-
tional understanding, goodwill and
peace.
As we exhort our
new member to wear his pin with pride, grant unto
all of us, O Lord, the
strength and the courage to continue and persevere in

Dear Fellow Rotarians, Today is another special day! Lets raise our glasses and welcome our new member to be inducted , Mr. Angelo David Berba.
Welcome to the Club! We thank also for Alex Pal, for bringing him to our club and for joining again in our meetings. Our Secretary, Ely Bodo has started the leg work already for our up coming project, ‘Neg Or Road Safe to Travel’ with a meeting of the 3rd district Engineer of DPWH who is also willing to Support for our info drive on our highways. We are now in the process of determining the 1st batch of sign-ages where most appropriate. We are suppose to have a speaker from DOH to share to us the important information of the covid-19 vaccine. I changed my mind and instead asked for some materials regarding the topic. NCR has spiked again and I hope it will not happen here in our province. Please beware of fake vaccines as it is also sold and common. It is better to get it from DOH and BFAD approved! Thank you everyone for attending today and showing support to our club! Keep safe and healthy all the time! Yours in Rotary, Pre. Ran Lim

Dear Club Presidents, In these difficult days, we are so heartened to receive such uplifting reports on the unrelenting efforts of our Rotary members who have responded in their communities against the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, the single question we hear time and again is, “Are we getting involved with COVID vaccination?” The answer is yes. This does not mean we will deviate from our commitment to eradicating polio, which remains our highest priority and continues to be our only corporate program. Polio vaccinations must continue unabated, as must our effort to raise $50 million per year for this effort. But now, COVID-19 vaccines are becoming available around the world, and our members have an important role to play. We ask you to encourage your club to: Use Rotary’s knowledge of vaccine safety and efficacy based on our polio eradi-cation experience to support vaccination efforts in your communities. This will need to be tailored to local contexts to address unique cultural and regional needs. As vaccine distribution begins in your country, partner with local organizations or health authorities to offer your club’s support with vaccination efforts as required. Help combat the powerful, growing force of vaccine resistance and misinfor-mation. Advocacy in our communities is critical — we need to spread the message about the power of vaccines to protect lives. - Stop the spread of COVID-19 by continuing to engage in projects supporting
mask-wearing, distancing, proper hygiene practices, and donations of personal pro-
tective equipment — before and after vaccination.
Please take a moment to view the above video message, and share with your net-works. As your club gets involved with local vaccination or COVID-19 prevention ef-forts, please add your project on Rotary Showcase (please log in to My Rotary first, and navigate to Rotary Showcase). We look forward to learning how your club is working to support vaccination efforts in order to bring the COVID-19 pandemic to an end. Thank you. Holger Knaack K.R. April - Maternal & Child Health
Rotary supports child and maternal health Posted on April 1, 2021 by rotaryservice
By Service & Engagement Staff Maternal and child care is one of Rotary’s main causes. Rotary makes health care available to vulnerable mothers and children so they can live longer and grow stronger. It is estimated that close to 6 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation, which can all be prevented. Rotary clubs and districts dedicate their efforts to improve access to quality care so that mothers and children can have long-serving opportunities for a healthy future. Projects to support mothers and children include mobile prenatal clinics, cancer screening, immuniza-tions, and training on how to protect themselves and their children from disease. Several projects highlight innovative solutions that provide health care to mothers and children: Nigeria averages only one physician for every 2,500 people and creative
solutions are needed to expand health care reach. Read about how inno-vative integration of telehealth medicine have helped those living in ru-ral Nigeria.
Brazil has experienced high infant mortality rates and several Rotary clubs partnered together to provide solutions. Read about how a Rotary club partnership led to an increase in resources for the incubators and access to Neonatal intensive care units at the Dr. Leopoldo Bevilacqua Regional Hospital in Brazil’s Ribeira Valley.
