As a manufacturer, the Meiden Group will continue to earnestly pursue manufacturing excellence and tackle the various issues facing society.

2017 marks the 120th anniversary of the Meidensha’s founding. Ever since our founding, Meidensha, known as the motor expert Meiden, has manufactured heavy electrical equipment and their control systems, including power generation, transmission and distribution. Our business was able to succeed in the social infrastructure field for such a long period because of the trust and patronage we received from our customers throughout these 120 years, and I do believe that it is also a gift from the uninterrupted and continuing hard work of each and every employee right from our founding in the Meiji era.

Meidensha announced its new corporate slogan, which embodies the Group’s resolve, on the occasion of the beginning of the 120th year from the company’s founding.

Our “quality” is not only about the quality of our products and services. There are two other things that make our quality: “people” and “technology”. The truthfulness and flexibility of the Meiden Group’s people enable them to strengthen ties with their customers and our technology allows us to create truly original products and services that meet the needs of the times and market. Meiden will combine these two attributes -people and technology- of our quality and make unceasing efforts in forging ahead for the peace of mind and joy of our customers and the precious lives of people beyond them.

Social Infrastructure Business Sector

In addition to the manufacturing and sales of regular- and emergency-use power generation equipment, hydroelectric power generation quipment, electric power transmission and distribution equipment, DC power equipment for railway applications, and other products in various areas including electric utilities, central and local government organisations, railways, buildings and factories in Japan and abroad, we also offer a wide range of energy solutions such as reliability enhancements in electric power quality, renewable energy power generation including solar power and small- and medium-scale hydroelectric power, and smart grids.In the field of water supply and sewerage systems for local govern-ments in Japan, we manufacture and sell electric power equipment and related products for various processing facilities, and also offer solution-style services such as contracted maintenance and management sevices for water treatment plants.
