Mega Menus Mega Menu functionality is now available on your Intranet Connections intranet, giving you increased real estate for your applications, business links, department sites and information. With Mega Menu navigation, items within columns can be grouped by subject area, making it easy for users to find the information they need. Dynamic content such as image widgets and application feeds further increase the Mega Menu user experience by enhancing the visual aesthetics of your menu system.

Simple Menu Navigation

Just like our software, Mega Menus are simple to use and extremely user friendly. To edit your Mega Menu simply hit the edit button, which brings you into the interactive menu builder interface. Here, you can edit, delete or move existing widgets using our simple drag-and-drop functionality, or you can create new widgets. Providing one-click access to the most commonly used tasks, forms, documents, surveys and key information instead of sorting through multiple navigation levels, will greatly expand the efficiency of your current information architecture and result in easier to find content for your end-users.

Increased Real Estate on Your Intranet

Mega Menus are the latest in menu navigation, delivering the latest modern functionality of the most innovative worldwide intranet sites and giving you increased real estate for your applications, business links, department sites and information. Mega Menu navigation gives you increased real estate, which allows you to easily organize your forms, application and sites making content on your business intranet simple to find and only a few clicks away.

Mega Menu Widgets

Rather than simply housing static content, we went a step further and included “widgets” in our Mega Menus. There are a variety of widget types to choose from including simple widgets, content feed widgets that pull out and display information posted to your applications, user widgets, social widgets, and external content such as RSS feeds and Microsoft Exchange Calendars.

Improved Menu Editor

The menu editor has been completely redesigned with the introduction of mega menus. When adding a new menu item,

select from a list of linkable sites, apps, and pages. Do you need to link to a specific document or form? Paste in the URL

and the system will automatically detect the target as an intranet item. If the user does not have permission to the

target item, it will automatically be hidden in the menu.

Drag and drop widgets within the menu editor, and the system will automatically show you how the layout will change.

Modify properties of a widget while staying on the same screen using the new Build Tool dialog. Finally, you can make as

many changes as you like, before clicking save to make the changes permanent.

Improved Asset Management Managing your sites, applications, and pages within Intranet Connections has been greatly improved. The new visual cards provide “at-a-glance” information for sites, apps, and pages. Apps and pages are now organized by the site they belong too, making it much easier to manage a large number of sites.

Site List

Easily manage any number of sites using the new Site List. Create sites for specific projects, teams, or departments. The site list screen shows each site you have created using a site card. Site cards display the site’s name, description, and number of views in the last 30 days. In addition, the quick reference icons indicate when a site has been added to a menu, and if a site still needs security applied.

Apps List

All your applications are now properly organized by the site they belong to. By keeping apps organized by site, management becomes much easier. With enlarged icons and descriptions, picking the app you need is simple. Like with site cards, the app cards provide “at-a-glance” information regarding your different applications.

Content and Widget Pages

Pages have been promoted, and are now an asset in their own right. Pages can now be created and linked together in page hierarchy, allowing better organization of page content. Home pages are now created as widget pages, and you can create as many widget pages you want.

MEGA RELEASE | Feature Guide

Advanced Approval Workflow First introduced in V12.0 for forms, the advanced approval workflow is now available across all applications. You can now create multi-stage workflows for content approval in document repositories, calendaring events, job postings, discussion boards, job openings, employee training, library, buy and sell, and photo albums.

Multi-Stage Approval

Handle the most complex workflow requirements by creating a series of approval or notification stages. Use approval stages to require approval managers to approve or deny requests. Add a notification stage to keep stakeholders informed.

Advanced Approval Options

At each approval stage, you can specify exactly how the approval needs to work. Specify one approval manager, or a group of approval managers. With a group of approval managers, you can choose if any manager can approve on behalf of the group, or if they all must approve. You can even specify the required order of approval .

Flexible Approvals

Not all requests are approved the first time. Sometimes, more information is necessary, or the decision must be escalated. With flexible approval options, your online requests will never get stuck or discarded due to an inflexible system.

Widget Pages

The Mega release greatly expands support for online pages. The intranet now supports content and widget pages.

Content pages are pages of HTML, while widget pages host a number of intranet widgets. In previous versions, you were

limited to one widget page per site. In Mega release, create as many widget pages as you want, and easily change the

home page of a site to any widget page. Our new inline widget page editor makes designing your home page much more

intuitive.

If you have multiple related pages, you can organize them in a page hierarchy. Navigation links are automatically

created, and allow users to browse down to specific content. Subpage security permissions are automatically inherited

from the parent page. Pages are perfect for presenting announcements, or quickly sharing information.

Tutorial Builder

Sometimes users need a little help getting started. The enhanced features of Tutorial Builder let you create your own

tips on any page within the intranet, reducing the need for initial training and ongoing questions from your users. Unlike

a help document, tutorial builder lets you put your tips right on the screen.

Users can choose to view your tutorials at any time, as many times as they need to until they are comfortable with the

process. Tutorials can be placed on forms, within applications, or throughout several pages within the intranet. You can

even create an advanced tutorial to give new users a tour of the intranet, describing where to click to access various

documents and forms.
