ICCA Baby Club is growing…

Dear Meetings Management Sector Members, Dear Friends and Colleagues, The ICCA Congress in Shanghai is on.I will not be able to be with you this year as I am pregnant and both doctors and my company suggested me not to face such a long trip and flight. I will be with you virtually and acting from remote anyway, following the activities of this great Congress in China. I’ve prepared an interesting programme for you all MMS Members and do hope you will attend and participate actively in it, giving your contributions.Miranda, my Co-chair, was not able to join in Shanghai.My good friend, PCO and Board Member of ICCA Juan Josè Garcia will substitute me on this occasion so that you can have a referent person to talk to for the Meetings Management Sector and to share your impression, suggestions and needs with. Social media and SpotMe at the Congress:

• ICCA Message Board: As the Great Chinese Firewall prevents us to use social media channels like Twitter and Facebook, you can use the “ICCA Message Board” in your SpotMe device to share messages during the Congress. These message will be shared on screens in the venue as well as in the SpotMe app. Your messages will be included in your SpotMe Briefcase, which will be emailed to you after the Congress

• ICCA’s 50-year report statistics and advocacy report: “A Modern History of International Association Meetings: 1963-2012” was published in September: the 50-year statistics show that the number of regularly-occurring, internationally-rotating association meetings is increasing by 100 per cent every 10 years, and has been consistently doing so for the last half century, with no signs of a slowdown. The report contains case studies on association meetings and insights from members

ICCA Research Sales and Marketing Programme

ICCA RSMP 2014 Amsterdam, 02 – 05 July 2014

In 2014 the ICCA RSMP (Research, Sales & Marketing Programme) will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, starting on the evening of Wednesday 2 July, and ending on the evening of Saturday 5 July.

The 2014 venue is the Westergasfabriek and the Westcord Art Hotel will be the official HQ hotel.

Registration will open early 2014

• Thank you for all your contributions at the last Sector Meeting at IMEX 2013

• White Paper almost ready: we announced to be issued at the Congress 2013, still due to the ICCA 50°, it run the risk to pass unnoticed

• Some parts still to be refined • We may need some volunteers from different

parts of the world willing to pass samples of «contractual formats» for PCOs
