Albena joined EY in 1997 and she became Partner in 2013. In addition to client service, Albena has been active in Quality & Risk Management as part of her role as an Associate Director and now Partner.

She is based in Maputo, Mozambique from where she serves a large portfolio of multinational clients, operating in the natural resources (oil & gas) and infrastructure sectors, as well as provides tax advisory services for inbound investors.

Adrian is a Partner in the Advisory Services practice in South Africa, focusing on Enterprise Intelligence across Africa. He joined EY in 2014 as a result of the acquisition of 8th Man Consulting, a niche Oracle EPM consultancy of which he was the CEO.

Adrian is an ACMA, CGMA from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with over 15 years of consulting and management experience. His focus areas being the fi nance function, fi nance function systems strategy and project management.

Adrian is a subject matter expert on implementing Integrated Reporting and IFRS reporting requirements.

Annet is a professor of tax law and the tax law subject head in the College of Law at the University of South Africa.

Prof. Oguttu has published many articles in national and internationally accredited journals on various international tax law topics and is a rated researcher under South Africa’s National Research Foundation.

In 2014 President Zuma appointed her as one of the Commissioners of the South African Law Reform Commission. In 2013, Prof Oguttu was appointed by the Minister of Finance as a member of the Davis Tax Committee to assess South Africa’s tax policy framework – she chairs the BEPS Subcommittee.

In 2013, South Africa’s Minister of Finance, Mr Pravin Gordhan, appointed Prof Oguttu as one of the members of the “Tax Review Committee” headed by Judge Dennis Davis. Prof Oguttu chairs the Sub-committee writing the Report on “Base Erosion and Profi t Shifting from a South African perspective”.

She is the author of the book “International Tax Law: Offshore Tax Avoidance in South Africa” (Juta, 2015) and a co-author of “Tax Law: An Introduction” (Juta, 2013).

Prof Oguttu is the Board President of the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners; a Board member of the South African Fiscal Association and a Board member of the African Tax Research Network which is based at the African Tax Administration Forum.

Anselme joined EY Cameroon offi ce in 2012. As from late 2012, he has been appointed as the head of the tax and legal department in the new offi ce of Chad.

He also has a strong, close and challenging relationship with the Revenue Authorities, the Central Banks in Central Africa.

Anselme has assisted foreign investors / purchasers in various countries in the frame of various investments.

Anselme’s main areas of expertise lie in the Tax advisory for the Oil & Gas, Utilities, Mining and Telecoms.

Catherine is a Partner and the Leader for the EY’S East Africa Tax Cluster overseeing tax service line operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda and South Sudan.

Catherine has been the team leader on assignments which spans a range of industries, and in particular specialist experience in international and transaction tax advisory services from the perspective of direct and indirect taxes.

Charles is a Partner in International Tax Service where he provides international tax and exchange control solutions for inbound and outbound investment. He has extensive experience advising on various aspects of international taxation and exchange controls, including, corporate reorganisations, inbound and outbound tax exposure reviews and planning, multi-country tax health checks, operating model effectiveness, fi nancial instruments structuring, holding structure, IP and capital structure planning.

Charles joined EY in November 2013 as an (International Tax) Senior Manager after spending four years at the South African National Treasury as a Director, where he was instrumental in writing international tax legislation affecting all multinationals operating locally and negotiation of tax treaties.

He lectured at several South African Universities since 2001 and to-date, maintains a close relationship with the University of Pretoria as a visiting lecturer of Tax.

Calle Schlettwein is a Namibian politician who has served in the government of Namibia as Minister of Finance since 2015. Previously he was Minister of Trade from 2012 to 2015.

Beginning at Namibian Independence in 1990, he served as permanent secretary in various ministries. After seven years of deployment in the Ministry of Finance he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Finance in 2010. In a Cabinet reshuffl e following the 2012 SWAPO congress, Schlettwein was promoted to Minister of Trade and Industry on 4 December 2012.

On Heroes Day 2014 he was conferred the Excellent Order of the Eagle, Second Class.

Under President Hage Geingob, Schlettwein was moved to the post of Minister of Finance in March 2015.

Chijioke Uwaegbute is currently the Tax Director for General Electric with a responsibility for sub-Saharan Africa. He has over 16 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, cross border transactions and business process improvement and strategy. In his current role he manages the overall tax strategy for all the GE businesses operating in 17 countries across the region and this has exposed him to a wide variety of tax issues in the region. He is considered one of the top regional experts based on his interaction with tax issues across the region

Prior to joining GE he was a Senior Tax manager with a focus on oil in Gas in the tax regulatory and people services division of KPMG where he provided a advice on tax structuring and strategy for companies operating in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. He also ran the KPMG Gulf of Guinea tax team practice where he provided advice to companies in Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Cameroon and Mali.

Chijioke has a Bachelors of Science in accounting from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and he is currently the deputy dean of the direct tax faculty of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, as well as an associate member of the Institute of Chartered accountants of Nigeria.

Claire has a Masters degree in law and 30 years experience of labour relations, labour law and human resource management in South Africa and the SADC region.

She has extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of labour law including compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Employment Equity Act, the Labour Relations Act and the Skills Development legislation.

Christopher has over 12 years experience in tax advisory services, as well as aggregate of two-and-a-half years audit experience.

Clifford joined EY in 2015 as the Managing Partner for the African Transaction Advisory Business, located in the Johannesburg offi ce, South Africa.

Prior to joining EY, Clifford served as CEO of Renaissance Group Africa - responsible for the Investment Bank, Renaissance Property, Renaissance Credit - Micro Finance, Renaissance Asset Management, and the Renaissance Group Private Equity Business.

Liz has been with EY for 19 years. She is an Executive Director in the People Advisory Services team.

Liz provides tax advice to local and global multinationals on international assignments, tax structuring of remuneration, employees’ tax issues, international share schemes and payroll management.

Liz manages the coordination of the global expatriate service offered to a Multinational in the Oil & Gas industry. Providing the client with tax advice and coordinating advice from colleagues in other EY offi ces.

She has experience in global mobility advisory services, including assignment policies, equity compensation, and social security.

Daryl is the Tax Performance Leader for Africa. In addition to this she is also the Tax Performance Advisory leader for the Africa sub-area.

Daryl specializes in tax function effectiveness, process and controls and tax technology.

Daryl is a qualifi ed Chartered Accountant with over twenty years post qualifying experience in the corporate taxation arena, both in respect of direct and indirect taxes.

Dr. Larbi-Siaw is a Senior Tax Policy Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MoFEP) of Ghana. Prior to his current role, he worked as the Value Added Tax (VAT) Advisor to the Federal Inland Revenue Authority of Ethiopia. He was the Commissioner-General of Rwanda Revenue Authority. He was also the Commissioner-General of Uganda Revenue Authority. He has held various positions in Ghana including Chief Director of the Ghana National Revenue Secretariat. He also held the position of Financial Controller and subsequently the Chief Executive of Ghana National Procurement Agency.

Dr. Larbi-Siaw has honorary doctorate in taxation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and B.sc in Economics from University of Ghana. He holds a professional certifi cate in law from the Ghana Law School. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK.

Eric is the head of EY Côte d’Ivoire tax and legal department. Eric is in charge of the realization and the supervision of the tax and legal work. He takes care of the application of the methodology selected.

Elza is a qualifi ed chartered accountant and specialist in international tax and transfer pricing.

She was a Senior Manager in the EY Transfer Pricing team in Cape Town and worked for the fi rm for six years.

Hadijah holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Economic Policy and Planning and a Bachelor of Statistics degree. John is the head of Indirect Tax operations in the Eastern Africa region with a wealth of experience. He has been instrumental in the growth of VAT in the region. John has been involved in high level consulting assignments touching on all levels of indirect tax in various sectors including fi nancial, manufacturing, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, mining and exploration companies among others. He has been involved in indirect tax consultancies touching on business restructuring and effective operating business model for various sectors. John is a regular commentator on indirect tax issues and in particular VAT. Mr. Dike is the current Director of Tax Policy at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). Beyond being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Mr. Dike is also an Associate Chartered Accountant. Mr Dike is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he studied Economics and graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in 1979.

He doubles his current position of President of CITN with the position of Vice President of West African Union of Tax Institutes (WAUTI).

Mr. Dike was an offi cial Federal Government of Nigeria Expert on Tax Practice as well as the Coordinator, Sub-Technical Committee’s Working Teams on Tax Implications of the Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Withholding Tax (WHT), Presumptive Taxation, Exchange of Information, Non-Interest Banking and Redrafting of Tax Laws

Mr Dike is married with children, and his hobbies are reading, current affairs, watching and analysing football, jogging, games and travelling.

Mark is currently a Tax Account Leader and coordinating partner on a select handful of key tax accounts across Africa. Rendani Neluvhalani is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.

She joined EY in 1998 and has been a Partner in the International Tax Services (“ITS”) since 2006. She has over 20 years of tax consulting experience and 4 of those years having been spent abroad.

During the period 2002-2004, Rendani spent two and a half years with the Transfer Pricing – Operating Model Effectiveness, ITS and structured fi nance team in the London offi ce of EY

Wim is EY Advisory’s Mining & Metals Leader for Africa, in addition to leading EY’s Supply Chain & Operations practice in Africa.

He is an experienced advisor to executives in the Mining & Metals and Consumer Products segments, with 25 years industry and consulting experience.

Wim has led complex global programs across Africa, Europe, Asia and Americas on organisational renewal, operational effectiveness and building capability. He has a deep interest in delivering productivity improvements, supply chain innovation, redesigning operating models, designing and implementing Remote Operating Centers, advanced performance analytics, predictive performance simulation and managing change in challenging stakeholder environments.

He is also spearheading the application of Reliability Technology and Manufacturing Excellence into the capital intensive industry sectors globally to improve availability, utilisation, and rates through different operator behaviour.

Tom is EY’s leader for International Tax Services and Transfer Pricing in Francophone Africa.

Tom leads EY’s tax practice in Senegal, Mauritania and Mali. Before he has worked more than 12.5 years in The Netherlands at EY’s international tax department and has spent some time on the Dutch tax desk in Chicago (US).He has a Master degree in Law and Tax Law.

Tom services local and foreign multinational companies in different sectors (fi nancial services, oil & gas, mining, telecom, consumer products, etc), on a wide variety of tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border investments, corporate reorganizations and tax effi cient structuring of holding, fi nancing, licensing, distribution and manufacturing activities.

Zion is a Manager in the EY Tax Service (Human Capital).

Zion has over 12 years of wide experience in tax advisory and compliance services. He has been involved in expatriates’ tax services, compensation and benefi ts management, payroll tax compliance and advisory services, tax audits / investigation and various contracts reviews for tax effi ciency. Zion has also been extensively involved in assisting clients in mediating and resolving various tax controversies with the tax and other regulatory authorities in Nigeria.

Zion holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting and a Masters of Science Degree in Banking & Finance. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of taxation of Nigeria.

Prior to joining EY, Zion was a Senior Consultant with the PricewaterhouseCoopers and at some other time, a Senior Inspector of taxes with the Internal Revenue Service in Nigeria.
