Remotely isolated far from the toxic industry of modern man, showers of blessings provide Kauai’s Mt. Waialeale, the “Wettest place on earth”, with over 515 inches of rainfall each year.

Located deep within the heart of Kaua‘i at a location known by few is a natural spring aquifer that purges rich minerals as it seeks to find natural light provided by the process of precipitation. These minerals together with a pristine location provide Kaua‘i Springs with one of God's last pure natural resources on earth. The water is naturally filtered by thousands of feet of volcanic strata and is also protected by the EPA, the DEC, the DOH and the Food and Drug Administration. These regulations adhered to by Kaua‘i Springs insures a natural product above and beyond all others.

A new ‘Portable Bottling Facility’ will incorporate both bottle productions of Glass and Eco Friendly PET Plastic. These products are refillable and reusable at 5 gallon coolers which are part of why Kauai Springs won the Eastside Rotary Green Initiative Business Award in 2009.

This avenue will also allow for the expansion into a glass bottle business to target the high end tourist market.

We would propose using the existing cabins for the purpose of ‘High End Retreats’ and Military IUD Rehabilitation.

All will be built to ADA standards giving access to Hot Tubs, Hammocks, Massage Tables and offer any activity orientated ventures such as zip lines, surf lessons, body boarding, biking, hiking, swimming, snorkeling and general relaxation.

‘Strategic Designs’ will be implemented to allow any wounded Veteran the ability to experience activities offered to any other tourist visiting beautiful Kauai.

Existing Vacant School BuildingWe would also like to propose using the existing school as an administrative area and a center for local artisans to showcase and market their handicrafts. Many use materials that are found on the Garden Island including agricultural products like fresh fruits and flowers, Koa wood, seeds, seashells, beach glass, and sand to name a few. Kauai products incorporate the flavors, scents and feelings of Kauai into their products.

Our Mission StatementThere are so many results that follow someone when they get their limbs blown off or severed:

Depression, opiate and alcohol addiction and rejection from society, to name just a few. The challenge of healing and returning to any sort of normal life is almost unforeseeable to most and seemingly impossible for others. However, we at Kauai Springs are looking through the spiritual eyes of hope and understanding into a brighter future where all healing is possible through the power of perseverance, the setting of goals to instill self-worth and the ongoing assistance of talented health care professionals.

ConclusionThe Eric A. Knudsen Trust is a private trust that provides stewardship over 3,000 acres of land from Mount Kahili to Poipu Beach on the south side of the island of Kauai.

The trust is part of the legacy of Eric A. Knudsen, whose parents were among the original European pioneers to Hawaii in the 19th Century.

Today, the Eric A. Knudsen Trust continues to balance the natural beauty of the Garden Island with best use practices to create and maintain productive and sustainable uses for its land. It would be an honor to create a sustainable legacy on Kahili Mountain for future generations to come in lock step with the values of such a wonderful organization.

AppendixAll hospitals, Schools, Hotels, Military Basis, Construction Sites and large volume spring and drinking water consumers as well as homes and offices on Kauai finally had the opportunity to consume their very own spring water and experience the fine service provided for the first time by locally owned and operated spring water company. Kauai Springs Water bottled at the source Kahili Mountain.

Shortly after our rapid growth experienced in 2003-2004 a large corporate competitor filed an erroneous complaint and maliciously claimed a false statement that harvesting the recourse of natural spring water was not an agricultural activity. They falsely accused Kauai Springs Water of performing an industrial activity rather than agricultural as defined by several well proclaimed legal statutes. Packaging agricultural products ‘spring water’ on agricultural land is clearly written. Our competition from Oahu was banking on a small mom and pop business to crumble under the expense of legal costs and suffer financial failure by not having enough operating capitol to survive with the capability to serve the community without going broke. We are still in business at the end of 2014.
