Medi-Plus Surface MountDucted System The Medi-Plus Series Surface Mounted Duct System incorporates Clipsal 2000 Series electrical accessories and additional products manufactured by other companies, into aluminium extruded duct.

The Medi-Plus Series Surface Mounted Duct System is designed to allow the customer to purchase all components as pre-made stocked items and the product can be constructed on site to suit the required application. Australia’s GreenestHospital in the MakingThe new Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, is aiming to be Australia’s fi rst Five Green Star hospital. Designed to be friendly to the environment, it will minimise water and energy consumption as well as greenhouse gas emissions. The hospital is due to open in 2011 and will feature more single bedrooms, neonatal cots and operating theatres. Health MattersThe new public and private Mater Mothers’ Hospitals in Brisbane form part of a A$188 million major capital upgrade, featuring 88 public beds, 90 private maternity beds and 16 birthing rooms.

Set to assist up to 10,000 births each year, the opening of this state of the art facility represents a new era in maternity health care and an important milestone for Queensland. The new facility features a range of services to deliver real benefi ts to women, along with providing a family-focused environment in terms of care and support.

The Medilec ML2164 Series medical service panels were specifi ed for the refurbishment in each of the patient rooms. The wall panels are of a fl ush mounted design and provide full access to power and all services including, gas, data and nurse call.

Healthy DataToday’s hospitals are built to incorporate a comprehensive electronic clinical information system networking all fl oors. Data is keyed in from terminals located throughout hospital wards, even from bedside terminals. All reports are stored in a data repository and can be accessed online.
