Vascular Concepts Realized Low Total Cost of Ownership with Integrated Business Processes across the Enterprise
As Vascular Concept's current manual-based processes had become cumbersome, YASH implemented SAP ERP to provide an automated and transparent production and quality management process. This would enable Vascular Concepts to keep track of how and when it manufactured its products to ensure that their quality standards met the strict legislation governing this highly regulated industry, and to maximize the visibility into valuable operational data.
In order to streamline business processes for the client, YASH implemented the following ERP modules:
Sales and Distribution Production Planning
Materials Management Quality Management
These modules would provide all the functionality needed for running fundamental business processes and enable timely analysis of production data.
With headquarters in Bangalore, it was necessary that Vascular Concepts comply with complex Indian excise and statutory requirements. Typical project extensions of this nature would normally require extensive customizations. However, YASH understood the client's budget and time restraints and proposed to incorporate CPGOne, a proprietary SAP Business All-in-One solution for the consumer packaged goods industry. Developed by YASH to address Indian localization requirements, CPGOne is a pre-configured, comprehensive solution based on SAP Best Practices that would provide efficient utilization of resources for statutory compliance issues. YASH also utilized their proprietary implementation methodology, S-Imple, to streamline the project even further. Rather than spending valuable time and resources defining and configuring standard business processes, YASH leveraged best practices and preconfigured business scenarios to rapidly speed up the implementation. YASH was able to minimize customization using the design by exception rule and focused on data cleansing, conversion, knowledge transfer, and end-user learning to minimize project duration, costs, and risks.
With a single integrated operational platform that adopted best practices for India localization, Vascular Concepts opened up new opportunities for growth, raised productivity, and increased transparency throughout the enterprise. The move to SAP delivered even more benefits than Vascular Concepts envisioned. Streamlined, automated processes prevailed in materials management, invoicing and many other areas. The documentation process became quicker, simpler, more accurate and comprehensive.
