Planning Film Trailer

With Jack, James and Jez

What will you bring forward from your practice piece? Or what have you learnt?

• In one scene we placed a skateboard underneath the camera so that we could keep up with lewis’ running ( que clip)

• We also found that by having the camera on a tripod, whilst filming a panning shot, a professional look is given.

• We had very positive feedback about the screen capturing titles

• After editing the trailer we inserted a letterbox effect to look more like the movies

• Another feedback comment was that the sound fitted well with the clip, so therefore we can make sure we do that in the next one

• However there was a bit of confusion about the title of the film as 1 or …. 1 person misconstrued “this year” as being the tile – next time we need to make it more clear

Who is your target Audience? Age and Gender for mainstreamAlso consider how you’re going to appeal to them

• Our film will appeal to the ages 15-30

• To appeal to this target audience it will be a movie with fast paced action in the form of chases, guns and violence.

• It also has a gripping storyline for the older quartile of the target group

What will be specific group roles?

• Jez will be the leading role of mark steal

• James will have various cameos, such as, one of the men taking mark’s son

• Jack will be the man behind the camera with various cameos also

• Jez’s little brother will play his son

Identify 1 or 2 key scenes

• Opening scene – nice gentle countryside. Into a house with a son and his father at the dinner table. “daddy, wheres mummy?”

• 1st build up – emotional wrecking room scene. “I didn’t do it!”

• Someone being chased by car – then veers off to the left

• “ you can’t keep living your life like this!”

• “ it’s not as if I have a choice”

• Ex cop loses his wife in a murder that is pinned on him. 39 year old mark steal must hunt down the person responsible for killing his wife whilst on the run from the agency he once worked for. As if that wasn’t bad enough, his son is kidnapped.
