Launched in 1973, Cranes Today is the original magazine of the global lifting industry. Being the oldest one, does not mean we are not up to date with the latest trends in the media industry.

Over the past year, our parent company NS Media has invested heavily in our digital propositions. During the pandemic, resources were allocated to enhance our pre-existing digital edition distribution, to make sure that even more people have access to the magazine while working remotely. Like the print circulation, the digital circulation is audited by the ABC,

ensuring that the recipients are people within or associated with the crane industry. We are dedicated to grow this list even further.

The company has also invested in a virtual event platform. We will be hosting our first event, the Cranes Today Tower Crane Virtual Conference, in February 2021 (slide 7). We are planning to host an event focusing on the mobile crane side of the industry towards the end of 2021.

There are even more digital propositions in the pipeline, which will be communicated through the magazine over the next year.

The Cranes Today Tower Crane Virtual Conference will be a platform for industry experts to share their in-depth knowledge on specific aspects of this market segment with industry professionals from around the world.

The agenda comprises presentations on a wide range of topics that the market is currently discussing, with a global rather than a regional approach. The virtual attendees will have the chance to hear—among other themes—about technological innovations, market trends, challenging applications as well as ways to boost efficiency and safety of operation. They will also be able to ask questions to speakers in real-time.

During the conference breaks or at any other time, attendees will have the chance to visit the booths at the exhibition space, have private chats with manufacturer employees and access the material exhibited. They will also be able to engage in group discussions.

The event’s reach will not be restricted to those that virtually attend it on the day. By simply signing up to the event’s page, industry professionals will be able to view the presentations and access the booth material for a month after the event takes place.
