ACCREDITATIONMedia accreditation is issued to broadcast, print and internet media assigned to cover the Calgary Stampede. Freelance journalists are required to submit an assignment letter from the general manager, editor or news director on the official letterhead of the media outlet in order to receive accreditation. Independent production companies are required to submit a letter from their broadcast organization providing details of the production and footage required.

If you would like to apply for accreditation, please fill out the online accreditation request form. Requests received during the 10-day event require 24 hours for processing.

Please note, rodeo regulations require media who receive accreditation for the chutes to be dressed appropriately (jeans, long-sleeved shirt with a collar, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat).

Passes are not transferable and the Calgary Stampede reserves the right to cancel accreditation at any time.

Results of the Rodeo and Chuckwagon races are prepared daily.

INTERNATIONAL ROOMThe International Room is hosted daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. by the CalgaryStampede International Agriculture committee. It’s located on the second floor of the Agriculture Building. Enter through the north side of the building, across from the Saddledome.

Each year the International Room hosts more than 1,800 visitors from countries around the world. We provide a venue for presenting agriculture product and service exhibits, sharing information on industry sectors, sampling Alberta-grown food products and inviting International visitors, involved in the agriculture industry, to mingle with producers, industry specialists, government representatives and exporters.

Visitors can also stop by our booth, located in the Agrium Ag-tivity in the City Discovery Centre, for more information on the Calgary Stampede International Agriculture committee.

CALGARY STAMPEDE BROADCAST DIVISIONThe Calgary Stampede Broadcast Division is responsible for the production and distribution of the host broadcast feed, liaising with all television and radio rights holders, production of all superboard and superscreen content, management of archival footage and still photography and the sales and distribution of all rodeo and chuckwagon footage.

PHOTOGRAPHSThe Calgary Stampede maintains an extensive library of Stampede photos. We are pleased to provide photos to you to support your stories.

All Stampede photos must be credited “Calgary Stampede.” Commercial use of our photos is not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made through the Media Relations department.
