your audience?

Similarly to question 4 in which I used the results to create the perfect reader profile for the people I interviewed, I took things that the audience were wanting or were interested in and try to give the audience all the things they desired.

Question 5

In my survey I asked the audience about what magazines they have bought in the past, the majority of people had bought Kerrang! which indicated to me that not only did they like the genre of the magazine, but also the style and setup of the magazine. These results made me use Kerrang! As inspiration and to use similar colour schemes, textual styles and image set ups as they do, which will hopefully satisfy the needs of the audience and give them the style and look they want.

I also made the magazine reasonable priced at £2.99. In my survey the majority of people said they pay very little for magazines, this will be to do with the fact most 15-24 year olds are students so high prices will not appeal to my target audience. My set price will hopefully appeal to my audience and give them the right price that they want.

The fact that the group who did my survey were split nearly 50/50 on the gender question means I had to include appealing material to suit everyone, which also included the way I represented my models. Within my magazine I did not have any of my models in revealing or sexualizing clothing and represented each one of them respectfully. This will represent both genders respectfully and appropriately which is important when creating a magazine for a young audience as they are impressionable and take in ideas from the media such as magazines into their own mind-set.

Question 5

Rock music tends to have a certain style associated with it (skinny black jeans, converse shoes, band t-shirts) hence why all my models are dressed in a certain style. This will appeal to the audience who will want to dress to their music icons and follow their style so by putting my models in the style desired will satisfy the audience. This can also been seen in other rock magazines.
