How did you attract/address your audience?

In our research we did a questionnaire about what people look for and think work best in horror films to help us get an insight of our audience. We used our results by incorporating them into our film opening.

Which do you feel would be a better affect for a horror opening?

Black and White (13) Colour (7)Because we were planning on using a black and white

effect on the CCTV shots to make it clearer that they are actually CCTV footage, we kept our opening in colour.

However to adapt this into our opening, we used low lighting and a night effect, making it dark and gloomy.

We had the little girl carrying round a china doll everywhere she is.

She is holding it by her hair swinging it from side to side, in a child like way.

In our opening we have a murder and also suggest that there is another one to come

Where do you feel a horror setting would be most appropriate?Inside (11)Outside (9)

We chose inside the school as our setting for our film, however as alot of people also chose outside as well, if we were to make the rest of the film we would have scenes outside to incorporate this in as well.
