Lola Rose Nialls is Lil Wayne and Birdman’s label ‘Young Money’ latest signing. Orignally from Barbados but moving the England at the age of 9, the beautiful Lola has been singing since she was able to speak so she tells us. Lately there has been rumors she has been hooking up with her fellow Young Money artist Drake. We interviewed her to find out more about Lola.

The everchanging hair colours. Thick dark eyebrows. Big eyelashes. Casual yet cool outfits are just part of what makes up Lola. Back in November 2010 after her battle of trying to get into the music industry Lola Rose Nialls managed to get signed to the infamous Young Money label.

Hi Lola, how are you?I’m really good thanks, just a little bit jet-lagged.

We hear that you’ve already started recording songs for you new album?Yeah, three in the US so far and I’m now I’m over here to record a few more songs.

Is your single “Independance“ going to be featured?Yeah it will be featured as both the orginal and the remix with my Nicki!

So you have collaborated with Nicki Minaj, who else have you collabo-rated with on the album?There is a incredible song with Drake which is going to be released as a single on March 24th which is called “Me&You” and a few others but I’m keeping that a secret (laughs).

It has been rumoured in the press that you have been hooking up with Drake, is this true?I saw the apparent interview I did say-ing we are a couple. All I say is don’t believe everything that is said, and I’m single and so is Drake.

So, when did you realise that music was the right career for you?I’ve always been passionate for music but I think by the age of 14 after I had wrote a few songs, I knew that this was right for me.

Was there a point during your life where you believed that you was not going to get here?At one point I honestly thought I wasn’t going to make it but family and friends encouraged me to keep on try-ing and putting my music out there.

Have your family and friends always been supportive and positive about your career?They have always been supportive about my choices but tell me what is is good and what isn’t so good. You always need people that aren’t afraid to tell you when you’re messing up and thankfully I’ve always had that.

So, when you was younger who was your idol?I would have to say Lauren Hill and Run DMC. I was influenced a lot by rap and hip-hop music as I was brought up on it is a kid.

Is rap still your favourite genre?People often think that but I love different types of music.

Who are your favourite music artists are the moment?My favourite artists at the moment are Kanye West and Ellie Gould-ing which is quite funny due to their music being different

You’ve been compared a lot to Lil’ Kim, how do you feel about that?I’m nothing like her both myself and my music. But I’ll be bigger than Lil’ Kim and that’s a promise.

Many people have described you as a fashion icon, how do you feel about that?I find it hilarious, I wear what I want to make me feel confident and sexy.
