***MEDIA ALERT*** Becky’s Fund to Celebrate 8th Annual 'Walk This Way' Charity Fashion Show on December 9 Pro athletes from Redskins, Nationals and D.C. United to help support domestic violence prevention Washington, D.C. (November 11, 2016) — On Friday, December 9, domestic violence prevention nonprofit Becky’s Fund will host its 8th annual “Walk This Way” charity fashion show at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium (1301 Constitution Avenue NW). The highly anticipated annual fashion event will feature clothing from classic upscale American designer Paul Stuart worn by D.C.-area pro athletes, including Washington Redskins players Pierre Garçon, Chris Baker, and Nick Sundberg, D.C. United goalie Bill Hamid and more. Female athletes and models will wear outfits from Alex Teih with jewelry from Sophie Blake and hair and make-up by One80 Salon. This year’s Walk This Way fashion show seeks to raise more than $200,000 for the “Men of Code,” a program that engages and educates coaches and young male athletes to become leaders and allies in the movement to end domestic violence. With the proceeds from “Walk This Way," Becky’s Fund will be able to bring the program to three additional schools in 2017. Chaired by Shivani Dhingra Bajaj, this year’s fashion show will bring the event's top sponsors, including Verizon, White Star Investments, Kampf Family Foundation, Strategic Cyber Ventures and others together with our star-studded athlete model list. Attendees will sip on specialty drinks and nosh on gourmet food and exquisite desserts, while mixing and mingling with some of DMV’s favorite sports stars, performers, political power brokers, business leaders and fashion influencers. DJ Oz will provide tunes coordinated with the fashion show, and the official afterparty will be hosted at Living Room (1008 Vermont Avenue NW). Tables and individual tickets to this popular and buzz- worthy feature fashion show can be purchased at www.WTWevent.com.
