o 20170418 - Briefcase: special characters like Ø were not managed by the Briefcase exchange ( Notes: a special BIN\DBWZIP7.EXE is now needed for fixing such issue - if the .EXE is not present in the BIN subfolder, no fix can be applied )

o 20170410 - SPT Files: a DOCUMENT.xxx.SPT file was considered also in the REVISIONS form when a REVISIONS.xxx.SPT specific file was not existing

o 20170406 - Variant Notes: due to a regression introduced with the fix "20160801 - Recursive Checkin: on specific DBWAclServer-enabled environments, when checking-in recursively from an opened assembly, the assembly itself and all the checked-in component files were left locked by the CAD system.", the variant notes were not updated when approving a drawing from the Revision Form

o 20170330 - Remote Access: Download: local files, not locked but opened in read-only mode in some client workstations, were unable to be overwritten by the download operation

o 20170214 - Remote Access: GDE: Put into Briefcase: when the 'Transfer Ownership' was activated, the Briefcase MDB Database was filled with redundant REPLICATION_PARTNERS field values

o 20170209 - Remote Access: GDE: Put into Briefcase: when the 'Transfer Ownership' was activated, the REPLICATION_PARTNERS field of the Sender Company was not updated with the Sender Company value, so causing the just sent Documents to disappear from the Sender Company database

o 20161122 - Admin Tools: Fields in the Revisions Form: after editing the parameter file that controls the fields displayed, each field would contain an invalid indication on the decimal numbers that would force a wrong display of field values

o 20161121 - Scripting: Activity Console: the DBWShell("UpdateDatabaseActiveDoc") command was deleting the ActivityConsole content

o 20161115 - Revision Outputs: with distinct output files for each revision, when opening the Revision Output file from the Previous Revisions grid, it was always opened the first Revision Output file, and not the one specific for the selected revision

o 20161110 - DBWorks SaveAs: when working with a script for the new revision ( OnNewRev.LST ) and when using the Open/Save->SaveAs options [X] Automatic check-in after a DBWorks 'Save as...' and [X] Automatic check-out after check-in enabled, it was not properly managed the possibility to leave the file in new state (like cancel from revision state dialog)

o 20161108 - Registration Wizard: when checking for duplicates an error would arise and the results would not be displayed if the browser was not open

o 20161107 - SolidWorks Drawing BOM: due to a regression introduced with build 20160331, the BOMInsert API call was not working

o 20161107 - Option Revisions->Approval->[X] Undo the checkout when no changes in the document on a recursive approve: Drawings of sub-components opened and modified in memory, but with no changes to their related models, were not considered by the procedure, so causing them to be restored to their last approved status, loosing all the changes applied in memory and not saved

o 20161104 - DBInventor: the save-as of a Document that needed a migration from an older Inventor file format, was not correctly applying the autocheckin/checkout options

o 20161104 - DBInventor: with old drawing files, an exception was fired at the end of a document save-as process, causing a crash in Inventor

o 20161103 - Link Mode: sub-option [X] Reopen after a 'Save As': the option was not working at all

o 20161013 - Released Database Mode: due to a regression introduced with the fix "20150527 - Released Database Mode with tables in a separate database: if the _RELEASED datasource names were not found in the ODBC setup, the application was crashing at startup", a filedsn named "DBWorks.dsn_RELEASED" was requested to be existing, instead of the "DBWorks_RELEASED.dsn"

o 20161013 - DBSolidEdge: working with configurations, in case of assembly with multiple configurations to another assembly, it is fixed a problem of wrong member recognition during save operation

o 20161012 - Revision Outputs: Link Mode: with the option for creating a Revision Output on checkin enabled and with the Revision Output managed as a Child Document, one for each distinct Revision, and with the options for keeping synchronized the Link Mode only for Child Generic Documents with the same ID of their Parent Documents, the creation of a Revision Output file on an Increment Revision State or Checkin operation was resulting in a Generic Document in a NEW state, and its Link Mode synch status was lost even when approving it

o 20161011 - Variant Notes: Drawing Blocks: since of the fix "20150312 - Variant Notes in Template Blocks: the resolving of the block notes were always applied to all the sheet's blocks, and not to the current sheet template only", applied to R15 sp1.1, blocks not defined on template sketches were not considered for the Variant Notes resolver

o 20161010 - Delete of a Configuration: when deleting a configuration of a Model saved-as into an unmanaged directory, the corresponding configuration record was deleted in the database if the Model file name was the same as an existing and already registered Model in the regular vault archive

o 20161004 - DBInventor: when saving-as an Inventor Assembly with a Position different from "Master", no warning message was displayed by Inventor ( that can't save an Assembly in any Positional Representation different from "Master" ) and the file was not created - only the database entry was created in such conditions

o 20160808 - DBInventor: the rename of a part/assembly having associated drawings (.IDW, .DWG) was not taking care of its extension but used the Inventor default, and, when different, it caused a command failure.

o 20160704 - SolidWorks Integration: under specific circumstances, when opening a drawing with the SolidWorks command when the model is open in session, the following error was displayed: "File Invalid or Same Name Error on component" - Notes: the issue was caused by a regression introduced by the fix "20151026 - DBWorks: Options->Environment->[X] Always Reload Out-of-date Read-only Components: read-only components were not always reloaded when opened or activated, even if a change was applied from other designers on the same components"

o 20160629 - SolidWorks Integration: with the option for saving only the 1st level parent configurations being activated, a missing component in an assembly structure it was causing the rest of the components to not be registered in the database structure

o 20160504 - OnShowPreviewLabel.LST: in some cases its output was not used by the core DLLso 20160504 - Database Replication: REPLICATION_PARTNERS: Deletion of a configuration: the configuration record

was marked as *DEL*, so causing issues when any partner company was creating again such configuration - Note: the record is now fully deleted, so its deletion will propagate through the replicated sites

o 20160504 - Browser: Full Preview: switching quickly between SolidWorks files while the full preview pane is active may cause a crash of the application. Now the side effect has been reduced to a blank preview that will require to reopen the browser. Occasionally a popup dialog is displayed to keep the app from crashing; the dialog can be closed with a click.

o 20160504 - Save all configurations automatically: no progress bar feedback was given when many configurations were to be saved, so giving the impression that the CAD application was hanged and non responsive

o 20160504 - AltPrevw.txt: recursive declarations like JPG->JPG,Z:\tmp\, used for reassigning the preview image directory, were causing a crash of the application

o 20160503 - DBSolidEdge: option "Open/Save->Save->[X] Save preview images as files": the JPG image resolution and extents were not good

o 20160503 - User Interface: under some circumstances, the tab names were wrong when opening the Browser.o 20160428 - Remote Access Local Mode: DBWAclServer server side file transfer: when activated, it was not possible to

download/upload files during the Local Mode operationso 20160427 - Option "[X] Avoid same user approval": the CREATED_BY fields was not considered when using the

Recursive Approve functionality, so making not possible for a user ( that had never partecipated to the life-cycle of a document ) to edit the document's data and then to approve it using the recursive operators

o 20160427 - Tree: Order Projects By: since of a regression introduced with build 20151123 ( R15 sp2.7 ), the "Order Projects By" setting was affecting also the order of the documents belonging to a sub-project. Notes: it is not possible to have separate orders for sub-projects and documents, so for getting a specific order for sub-projects and documents the "Order Documents By" must be assigned

o 20160421 - DBWShell("FileExists"): when running under DBWAclServer, it might have created unexpected "waiting for Windows Explorer" warnings with subsequent delays in its execution

o 20160421 – DBSolidEdge: using the “Open/Save->Save->[X] Show a warning if some feature errors are found” option, it is fixed a crash happening when checking-in asm document, under certain condition.


Enhancements

20160329 - REPLICATION_PARTNERS.SPTThe script now logs the change of the content of the field in the MechWorks PDM EVENT_LOG table . It logs what it was changed from/to, and which user changed it.

20160323 - New DBWStandardLibrary Command: DBWReplaceInvalidCharsGiven a string, the function replaces not allowed characters < > \ / | $ % ^ * " ? : with underscore so to be suitable for being a filename on Windows filesystems.

Syntax:DBWReplaceInvalidChars (inputString)

Input:<inputString> the string to be adapted

Example:inputString = “<this is my string> - **??”convertedString = DBWReplaceInvalidChars(inputString)

convertedString will assume the value of _this is my string_ - ____

20160322 - New DBWOutput for Dataentr.LST: @SKIP_CUSTPROP_IMPORTA new directive can now be outputted from the Dataentr.LST script for bypassing any File Properties import due to existing custprop.txt or custprop_insert.txt definition files

o 20160412 - BOM->Change Quantity: the .DEFAULT value was displayed in the drop-down list for the UMo 20160412 - Excel BOM: Custom cell value script: field values belonging to the DRAWING or the PARENT_CHILD

table were not supported in the custom script used to fill single cells. The 'dot' in the field name is now replaced with an

underscore, thus the value for the field PARENT_CHILD.PARENT_UNIQUE_ID is made available as the variable PARENT_CHILD_PARENT_UNIQUE_ID in order to maintain compatibility with the vbscript language specifications

o 20160412 - Revisions: Approval: it was not possible to approve an assembly with a child declared as UNMANAGED ( so with its directory listed in the Revisions->Do not manage revisions for documents in the following directories option ) but with its file directory declared also as allowed for the approval ( so with its directory listed in the Revisions->Accept parent approval if children are in the following directories option ) - Notes: this is a regression introduced with R15 sp2.0

o 20160411 - DBInventor: with O.S. language using the comma ( , ) as decimal separator, the assignment of the PARENT_CHILD_QTY physical quantity was randomly changed after a save of the model

o 20160411 - BOM embedded in drawings: a column with referencing a parent child field would cause the generation of the BOM to fail with an error message for a null value

o 20160408 - MwPDM API: UserInterface.ListFromQuery and UserInterface.List. Fixed a bug happening when closing (‘X’) the dialog: the action is now cancelled.

o 20160405 - SolidWorks Integration: Absolute Position Numbers: the following fix "20150601 - SolidWorks integration: saving of a drawing: the structure of assemblies that were changed in memory ( for example suppressing some components ) was not updated in the database" has been rolled-back, since it was causing issues with the BOM Absolute Positions in child assemblies

o 20160405 - Query Page: a SELECT command like this 'SELECT count(…) from document' was displaying the count() result in the first row and a number of blank rows equal to the count() result.

o 20160404 - DBInventor: Auto-checkin-checkout on save-as: Link Mode enabled on Child Generic Documents: the save-as of an Assembly with a drawing containing both the assembly view and an assembly IPN view, was creating a Released IPN

o 20160404 - DBInventor: the save-as of an Assembly with a drawing containing both the assembly view and an assembly IPN view, was saving-as two times the related IPN

o 20160404 - Remote Access: Local Checkout Mode: when taking the ownership of a Part/Assembly in Checked-in or Checked-out state, its related Drawing file was not correctly updated on the local shared-checked-in path

Enhancementso 20141210 - DBWorks: Preview of drawings: when clicking on the drawing icon on the right of a part/assembly in the

Browser's Tree, DBWorks tries to find a drawing sheet that matches the currently selected part/assembly configuration, and, if found, it tries to display its preview.Under some specific conditions, sometimes the list of sheets returned by the SolidWorks Document Manager API was not the same as the list of sheets displayed on the screen, so a sheet different from the main sheet was sometimes selected for the preview.

With this enhancement, DBWorks avoids to look for a configuration-specific drawing sheet if no other configured brother parts/assemblies have been inserted in the drawing, so for the simple case of "one drawing/one part", the main drawing sheet is always used for the preview.
