No Packing
No Seal Water
There are lots of reasons to change to the efficient and clean operation of the Eliminator Horizontal Pump with a Mechanical Seal:
Designed for extremely abrasive applications and wear particles up to 4” diameterHuge cost savings in maintenance, both in parts and labor
• No packing or shaft sleeves No lubrication schedule to maintain• Once a year maintenance instead of 6 or 8 times a year• Back pullout design for convenient and less time consuming maintenance access• Consumable pump parts can be removed and replaced without a complete pump
tear down• Maintenance free mechanical seal is sealed for life• Three years between routine inspections
Elimination of support equipment• No seal water • Seal water pumps are not needed
Longer run life on the pump and the wear components• Pump wear plates, impeller and casing all have the same wear time intervals, so they can be replaced at the same time • Lowest industry replacement frequency rate of pump wear plates, impeller and casing • Wear parts and casing of 28% High Chrome with 650+ Brinnell Hardness
Reduction of scheduled and unscheduled downtimeIncreased safety around the pump
• Drastically reduced maintenance traffic• No slippery mud or packing water on the floor around the pump• Reduced lifting because there is less maintenance• No need to subject personnel to a hazardous environment when adjusting packing
Power savings• More efficient operation• Even more power savings with a variable speed direct drive pump instead of a belt drive pump
Reduction of water needed in the process• Due to the reduction of seal water demand there is a reduced amount of water needed in the plant

We make it easy for you to change to a GPM Eliminator Horizontal Slurry Pump with a MechanicalSeal. The only pipe change is the removal of seal water piping, because it won’t be needed any more.GPM will build a frame to match your current pipe suction center line and the discharge pipe.
This chart graphically illustrates that the most common slurry pumps used have a majority of the costs in downtime, operating costs andmaintenance -- a total of 61% of LCC. The Eliminator Slurry Pump was designed around its proven Mechanical Seal to drasticallyreduce these operating costs, which reduces the overall LCC. Recognize that the pump and installation is only 20% of the cost, so besure to purchase an Eliminator pump. It’s the most cost-effective solution for the job.

With any other pump, when the sump gets low and it mistakenly runs dry -- it has to be replaced because of damage to themotor and mechanical seal.
The Eliminator Submersible is amphibious and can run wet or dry• Class H insulation makes it possible to run without cooling for long intervals• Pumps high temperature materials up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius)• You can eliminate costly monitoring and let the pump do the job of level control
Triple Compressed Sealed Cable Entry protects against moisture and particle contamination• Each wire individually contained in a urethane plug to prevent leakage• Plug is sealed within a rubber outer membrane• Outer housing seals cable unit to the motor
The Unique Eliminator Mechanical Seal protects the motor• Labyrinth seal reduces pressure on seal faces • Double Mechanical Seal withstands all working pressures• Barrier Fluid in a separate sealed chamber is kept clean by the multiple seals• Mechanical Seal faces are double Silicon Carbide• Sealed bearings
Lower maintenance• Longer life wear parts of 650 Brinnell High Chrome Iron
Unique Spray Hole Technology keeps four foot area agitated• Keeps solids in suspension for pumping• Agitates through the entire sump area, instead of just at the inlet• Optional agitator is usually not needed, but can be added in special circumstances
We can make your Eliminator Horizontal Slurry Pump flood proof with a submersible Eliminator motor. Youcan keep the same horizontal pump configuration, but because the pump is totally self contained, it willkeep operating, dry or wet.
Uses Either The LH Or EW Wet End

Manufacturing this StainlessEliminator pump with 316stainless steel takes thewords anti-corrosion to anew level. The UL ratedmotor and stainless motorhousing, and wear materialsare especially effectiveagainst heavily abrasivematerials and corrosivematerials like copper sulfides.
The Eliminator Hydraulic Pump is a lightweight alternativewhen you need to take your pump on-location and awayfrom an electrical source. This has been an effective choicefor use on a barge when a heavy slurry needs to bepumped.
The Eliminator HydraulicPump has many advantagesin slurry pumping:• Variable speed operation• Variety of hydraulic power
sources can be used• Designed for extremely
abrasive applications and wearparticles up to 4” diameter
• Lighter weight and highlymaneuverable -- can bemounted on hydraulic booms
• Totally sealed unit -- no risk ofseal or stuffing box leakageinto the environment
When theres a risk ofexplosion, the Explosion-Proof Eliminator pumps willhold up on the job. The ULrated explosion-proof motorhas a thicker high chromehousing than other Eliminatormodels. The Explosion-ProofEliminator is a natural choicein hazardous locations wherea Division 1, Class I, Group Dmotor is required.
• Durable and reliable• Up to 20 feet without a suction
pipe• Eliminates the wet end• Bottom bearing allows lighter
weight shaft• Double protected and sealed to
eliminate leakage• Heavy duty bearings rated for
B10 bearing life, minimum of 5years or 100,000 hours(continuous operation at ratedpump speed conditions)
• No more high maintenance orlengthy, costly shutdowns

GPM has spent 16 years manufacturing the Eliminator to pump the most difficult thick slurries, abrasive materialsor caustic chemicals. In addition, GPM has 40 years experience supplying and repairing pumps. The GPMdesigners have crafted the Eliminator as reliable equipment with minimal maintenance. The proof of GPM’scontinued record of excellence spans from developing the original Mechanical Seal to the most recent time andmaintenance saving EW liquid end. GPM operates from a modern 18,000 square-foot corporate office, ware-house, and manufacturing facility in Duluth, Minnesota. Over $1 million in units, parts and related equipment arestocked at any time. GPMs experienced sales staff can evaluate your slurry materials and specify the Eliminatorpump that will be most efficient.
GPM offers fast after-the-sale repair capability and immediate turnaround with a same-as-new warranty on repairperformance. GPM was the first pump manufacturer to offer a two-year warranty. In-house engineering andin-plant maintenance exchanges are available on operating pumps. GPM knows that a shutdown for repairs meansmoney out of your pocket, and Eliminator pumps and repair services have been developed to keep your operationrunning with a minimum of downtime.
