What you’ll coverAbout the courseThis course gives you a sound basis inengineering principles and practicalexperience. You'll specialise in modulessuch as engineering design and modellingand engineering management. All of thesesubjects are essential to a modernmechanical engineer.You'll also take an individual projectmodule to extend your research anddevelopment skills and to give you realexperience solving an engineeringproblem in industry. It's an excellent wayfor prospective employers to assess yourskills for your first job or for careerdevelopment.

Additional informationBetween the second and third year youwill have the option of developing yourskills and knowledge in industry bycompleting an optional work placementfor a year. On completion of two modules,you’ll be awarded the Diploma inProfessional Practice.
