MEAT PROCESSING TRAINING AT NERCC In an effort to rehabilitate the inmates and prevent recidivism, Northeast Regional Corrections Center (NERCC) requires the inmates to participate in work assignments, one of which is a licensed and permitted food and meat processing facility. This project created a pilot meat processing certificate training program for inmates and the NERCC. This initiative rehabilitates inmates by providing high demand job skills.
