Meat is one of the best choices as nutrients and

acceptability of meat among the people from

country like India is always on rise. Consumer’s

awareness due to rapid globalization and

urbanization has lead emphasis over quality and

safety of meat and meat products too. Regulatory

agencies across the country have taken serious

concern of prevailing meat production practices

opening the avenues for hygienic meat production

and packaging & value addition

The country full of young people wishes to taste

innovation and convenience in their regular meat

cuisines and putting demand for novelty in

processed meat products. Traditional taste need

to be amulgated with competitive, globalized

processed meat sector by having specialized

processing units as per indigenous demand.

To meet out the constantly growing demand for

meat products, supply chain right from

production of food animals, their slaughter for

meat and further processing must be strategically

reviewed for profitability. Food Safety and

Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), the

governing body in nation always have guidelines

for the new ventures in meat sector.

The proposed event aims to highlight associated

meat business enterprises with hands on

skill/entrepreneurship development programme

to establish its practical viability. Course content

is likely to address number of probable ventures,

skill developments, visits, discussions,

information sharing for complete value chain with

participants for further tailored programme as per

individual needs of entrepreneurs.
