Length - the longer dimension of an object as opposed to its width

Instrument for measuring length.
Scale
The divisions of the units on a ruler.
The Metric System
We use only the metric system in science.
Metric units are related in a “decimal” way. That means that each unit is either 10 (or a power of 10) times larger or smaller than other metric units.
