Pressure Meter PC 410
DescriptionThe pressure meter, PC 410 simplifies balancing of valves
and diffusers. The PC 410 can measure variable k-fac-
tors. A fact that makes it perfect for use in combination
with the MBB-box from Lindab.
It also has a powerful magnet so that you can attach it to
the ventilation system while measuring and adjusting. Its
small size and smart design makes it ideal for measuring
on the go.
Advantages – PC 410•Possibility to measure variable k-factors.
•Logs data over time.
•Magnet which attaches it to ducts.
•Transfers data via USB.
•Can be operated with one hand.
Precision is no accident: the manometer PC 410 helps
you to find the right features and settings for all products
with variable k-factors such as plenum boxes and iris
dampers.

Smoke Gun
DescriptionThe smoke gun SP makes it easy to find leaks in your
ventilation system. It is also very good for demonstrating
air flows, for example when controlling that your kitchen
fan works as it should. The smoke from the smoke gun is
not hazardous and the smoke gun only dispenses smoke
when the trigger is pulled. It is fuelled with oil that is very
easy to refill.
Advantages – SP•Makes it easy to find leaks.
•Makes it easy to demonstrate air flows.
•Easy to refill.
•No need for an open flame to generate smoke.
Which way does the supply air or exhaust air go? The
smoke gun shows you immediatly and accurate. It is easy
to handle and there is no doubt about the patterns of the
airflow.

Indoor Air Quality Meter CDL 210
DescriptionThe CDL 210 indoor air quality meter measures the CO2
level, the air temperature and the humidity and logs the
measured data. It is therefore ideal for the monitoring and
the evaluation of the interior climate in living spaces and
in commercial premises.
Advantages – CDL 210•Measures the CO2-level.
•Measures the air temperature.
•Measures the humidity.

Present situationIn light of the recent discussion concerning the indoor
air quality in schools, apartments, offices etc and its
effects on people, the following questions should be
asked:
• Is the present indoor air quality healthy for the
people spending time there?
• Is the present ventilation adequate and can you
determine when to ventilate?
• Is opening a window sufficient ventilation or do you
need to install mechanical ventilation?
These questions can be answered by looking closer
at the indoor air quality and a measuring during a long
period of time and to have a clear documentation of the
situation, is very helpful.
Air quality parametersThe following three parameters carbon dioxide, tem-
perature and humidity are important parameters in the
indoor air quality and are measurable with the CDL 210.
The values given here is a simplification of a difficult
task. For more specific information regarding indoor air
quality Lindab recommend to read national guidelines
and regulations, European standards and existing litera-
ture.
CO2 concentration
Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless gas. People
exhale CO2 which contributes to CO2 levels in the air.
In some studies there has been evidence that elevated
concentrations of CO2 in the air can cause sleep prob-
lems, difficulty concentrating and headaches. In severe
cases it might even cause dizziness, nausea and
asphyxiation as it replaces oxygen in the blood.
Guidelines for indoor CO2 concentration:
<1000 ppm – hygienically harmless
1000–2000 ppm – hygienically notable
>2000 ppm hygienically unacceptable
Temperature
Most people are satisfied with an indoor temperature
between 18 and 21 C° but this varies with each indi-
vidual person and situation.
Humidity
Most people are comfortable with an indoor humidity of
40–50%.
The humidity must not be too low as this can irri-
tate the skin and the mucosa membranes. The humid-
ity should neither be too high as this can increase the
growth of microorganisms such as mould.
Measuring• Parameters are clearly presented on the display.
• Short term ventilation needs can be signaled with an
alarm function.
• Using the data logger a simple presentation with
diagrams can be made to be used as evidence in
the future discussion and decision.
• It is possible to record all three measurements –
CO2, temperature and humidity – every 10 minutes
for a month.
Due to the simplicity of equipment operation and the
compactness of the equipment you can place it wher-
ever you want and especially where you are worried
about damp damages or bad indoor air quality.
What is good indoor air quality?

We are commited to making your life easier and our environment better. At Lindab our ambition is to simplify construc-
tion for our customers. We do that by design-
ing our products with smart features that
makes them easy to use. We are also working
on ways to reduce our impact on our environ-
ment and climate. We do that by developing
methods to produce our solutions using a
minimum of energy and natural resources, and
by reducing negative effects on the environment.
We use steel in our products. It’s one of few
materials that can be recycled an infinite
number of times without losing any of its prop-
erties. That means less carbon emissions in
nature and less energy wasted.
We have set three long term goals aimed at
reducing our impact on the environment and
the climate. These goals are based on EU’s
objectives for 2020 and mean that, taking
2008 as our starting point, we will:
• decrease energy consumption by 20
percent
• get 20 percent of our energy from renew-
able resources
• decrease greenhouse gas emissions by 20
percent
