I’m probably not the only one looking forward to visiting the Sunshine State thismonth. Amazingly, I just read that Florida is the only state without snow on theground. Needless to say, I don’t expect to hear many complaints that Orlando is thehost location for the HIMSS Conference and Exhibition this year!

Over the past month we’ve had unusual amounts of snow, cold, wind, ice, and poweroutages across the USA. It’s amazing how technology and social media have made iteasier for us to see and hear people’s stories from all over the nation. Better still –some of those tweets and alerts have helped people save money, time, and even liveswhen reporting on weather emergencies.
