MDREliminator

MDREliminator is a PC Windows based program that communicates with an Electone via USB Midi.

Essentiall the program replicates the !unctionalit o! a Music Dis" Recorder #MDR$ plus man otherMidi !unctions. Midi communications is via a USB to midi cable.

%iles with an & .evt' e(tension are !iles used on the )*+, and man other Electones. -he contain themusic data #scores$ and were originall saved on a ./' !lopp dis" drive #%DD0 D1S !ormat$ on aMusic Dis" Recorder. #2 have read man times that an .evt !ile is not a Midi !ile 3 o! course it is$.

The MDREliminator updates the obsolete MDRs and RAM Packs allowing you to

Operating the MDREliminator .

-he outside #boarder a7ua$ buttons are named !rom the le!t hand side #@)S$ or right hand side #R)S$starting !rom the top o! the panel. i.e. the top @)S button is @, #view through$ and the R)S bottombutton is R #2dentit re7uest$.

1. Start your PC and stop all none essential PC programs (e.g. internet,screen saver, FaceBook).

2. Connect the USB Midi cable to a USB port on our PC (Some Midi SB ca!les re"uiremanu#acturer drivers to !e installed !e#ore use).

$. Connect t%e midi plugs to t%e midi in and midi out plugs on t%e &lectone(t%e plugs normally %ave an arro' s%o'ing Midi data direction).

Playing EVT Files.Plays EVT fles rom the PC to the destination (normally an Electone).

1. Select t%e -Midi 0ut Select/ device re"uired. -92/2. Click on t%e -Play Back/ !utton and select t%e .evt =le to play #rom your

=les.$. Click on t%e -Start/ !utton '%en ready to commence playing t%e selected

=le.

[*1] Not all Models have been ‘initialised’ you will need to contactme to initialise your model.

[*2] You can play .evt les to the !" midi wave table without a #$%cable by clic&in' on the [() ed] a+ter startin' the pro'ram.

Recording MusicRecords Music rom Source (normally Electone) to PC.

Registrations

&ac% registration (rego) is uni"ue to an &lectone model al!eit all are saved as 9.r =les.&ac% model %as a uni"ue identi=er '%ic% means sending a rego =le !elonging to (say) an5S: to an &61 'onDt c%ange anyt%ing. ;%e &61 'ill ignore t%e data as Enot !elongingto meD.t is t%is uni"ue identi=er #or your model t%at is needed #or me to incorporate(initialisation) to get your regos 'orking (!e accepted !y your model).

Percussion Transose.

;%e percussion instruments in .mid music are assigned to C51 '%ic% sound oki# you are playing it on a PC or similar. 5o'ever t%e &lectone percussioninstruments are assigned to C51+. ;%ere#ore i# you record .mid music to t%eM*&liminator and 'ant to play it !ack to an &lectone t%e c%annels need to !ereassigned (s'apped).
