Welcome to Marathon Community Theatre’s 2013/2014 theatre season. It’s been 70 years since a group of early Keys settlers formed Marathon Little Theatre. Dedicated volunteer members have been keeping drama on the stage ever since.

Long term residents and visitors may recall performances at the old Indies Inn on Duck Key, the old Chamber of Commerce Building in Key Colony, and even the old cafetorium at Marathon High School. And in 1995, MCT purchased our current home and turned an old disco into a gem of a playhouse, gallery and movie theatre. We could not have done it without our loyal patrons and friends.

For the past 18 years, MCT has maintained affordable ticket prices and membership fees in an effort to keep playhouse doors open to everyone in our community. This year, Season Ticket packages are a better deal than ever. We’ve implemented a modest increase to individual ticket prices to cover the cost of putting on a show including digital music, increased royalty fees and in general increases in the cost of materials for props, costumes and sets. But, Season Tickets remain the same!

Names, faces and even places have changed but MCT remains focused on our mission to contribute to the cultural arts in our community. We look forward to seeing you when the curtain goes up on this, Marathon Community Theatre’s 70th season!

See you at the show!Jennifer Powell, MCT President
