  • • Companies / partners:

Focus is placed upon the technical service support and maintenance of McQuay-machines. The service training always starts with the entry level content and is further developed to contain rele-vant material for the specialist company or partner. At the advanced levels, the to-pics on commissioning and optimization are presented only to partners.

    •Operator / Owner:

The operator training is focused on the control and operation of the McQuay ma-chines. The training is individually matched to the machine types in use, and optionally complemented with the supplementary package „fundamentals of refrigeration”. In addition, we offer training in the areas of standards/guidelines and promotion of new plants.

    • Planners / contractors:

The training priorities are adjusted and adapted to the previous knowledge of the target group. In the entry/base level, these are the basics of McQuay‘s pro-duct range. Additional content, such as re-cooling systems, hydraulic systems, promotion of new plants, and many more are treated in the advanced levels.

aircool/McQuay training – skill qualification in four steps

Das Trainingsprogramm muss jeweils beginnend vom „Entry Level“ gestartet werden. Auf Anfrage können individuelle Trainingsin-halte gebucht werden.

  • The refrigeration and air conditioning industry is constantly subject to change. It provides answers to the fundamental questions of our time, as hardly any other industry can: The focus of the owner, operator, and last but not least of the legislature are on all the aspects, such as, environmental pollution, energy efficiency, operational safety, resource conservation. On the one hand, with our technical training program, we provide an active contribution to the reduction of the general lack of skilled workers. Also, we offer our customers and partners a tailor-made way to deepen their knowledge about our products, the special benefits of refrigeration technology, as well as the peripheral aspects of these highly complex issues.

Energy efficiency:Surely, we are currently just at the beginning of the considerations our mo-dern society places on the subject of energy efficiency. It is certain that the importance of this topic in the future will continue to grow. Many industries thus have massively upgraded their portfolios with energy-efficient products. However it remains open whether more efficient products alone can assure more success. Rather, the blatant Energy waste are often rather hidden in the interplay of the different trades. Energy-efficient products can only provide their real efficiency, when they have been adjusted and checked out by trai-ned specialists for the boundary and limiting conditions. Our training participants learn all about the problems and uncertainties en-countered during the energetic optimization of refrigeration systems. You will be made familiar with the interactions of efficiency in connected systems. In addition, by way of various examples, you learn how to recognise energy waste on a chiller and how to resolve the problem.

The core themes of the training modules:

Environment:Our society is already familiar with the fact that we must minimize the envi-ronmental impact. Already for a long time we spontaneously help by separa-ting our garbage or intuitively try to reduce our fuel and electricity consump-tion. These simple measures have long since become second nature to us. We are aware, however, that there is still a huge potential for further steps in this direction, in addition to these everyday actions in the private sector, in particular in industry and commerce. Our training program provides answers to these questions. Across target groups we familiarize operators and owners with the legal requirements and also give you some basic knowledge about the possible impact on the envi-ronment and how to prevent them. Among other things, we show how harm-ful entries and energy costs can be reduced by a systems modernization, and the legal framework can be taken into account of.

  • Reliability:The developments in energy efficiency that are rapidly growing in impor-tance, are not automatically accompanied by improved service reliability. So, for example, reducing the material thickness of a heat exchanger tube leads to a better heat transfer and increased energy efficiency – unfortuna-tely this change is also at the expense of reliability. The American Industry Association ASHRAE studies report that the rising number of components in a chiller reduces its reliability: The more parts that are installed in a system, the greater the overall probability of failure. So, for example, it was found that especially devices with high energy efficiency greatly affect the operational reliability. So, a frequency converter can significantly improve the efficiency of a chiller. On the other hand it has many parts and is thermally burdened, it emits interference signals and is sensitive to EMC as well. Sophisticated control strategies bring modern refrigeration to its efficiency limit - where we know that reliability is at its lowest. We will therefore make it clear in this training unit to the participants that the balance between efficiency and reliability can be estimated and illustrate the inevitable trade-offs.

Products/promotions:The aircool-McQuay products are characterized by their proverbial reliability, energy efficiency, as well as a very high operational reliability. The machine range includes both air-cooled liquid chillers with scroll or screw compres-sors and water cooled liquid chillers with screw or Turbo compressors in a power range from 5 to 9,485 kW per unit. McQuay is the technological leader in the high-efficiency screw fluid coolers and the powerful magnetic bearing Turbo compressors. The participant learns on the basis of the given general conditions which machines and systems can be used. In the product-specific training modules great attention is paid to the main areas of investment/depreciation, energy efficiency and reliability. The promotion of climate pro-tection measures on commercial refrigeration represents a further important aspect today. Therefore we inform in this training module in detail about the statutory requirements and construction and technical requirements that are required to be able to apply for a bonus promotion for appropriate measu-res.

  • Directions to aircoolDriving DirectionsDrive on the A99 (Ostumgehung) toward the Munich East interchange (Autobahnkreuz München Ost). At the interchange Munich East (München Ost) turn to-wards Munich (A94). After about 2 km. exit at (Aus-fahrt) Feldkirchen-West and follow the signposts to the exhibition center (Messe). Cross the first intersec-tion and turn, at the second stop light right, into Sig-mund-Riefler-Bogen. Our plant is about 200 m. further on the right hand side. Coming from Munich, drive out the Einsteinstrasse or the Mittlerer Ring to the A94 (di-rection Passau) and out to the exit Feldkirchen-West.

Directions using public transportationTake the subway U2 from the main train station (Haupt-bahnhof) to the destination Messestadt-Ost. From the-re it is about a 5 minute walk along the De-Gasperi-Bo-gen, turning left into Sigmund-Riefler-Bogen. Our plant is about 200 m. further on the right hand side.
