MARFO CHILDREN CARE FOUNDATION MARCH 2013 REPORT
1.0 BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
It was all joy and fantasy when Suzzy and Georgina celebrated their birthdays this month. The two young ladies couldn’t hide their joy and celebrate the goodness of God in their lives. Suzzy turned 13 and Georgina also turned 14. They have excelled in their academic work at school and we are all very proud of them. The two ladies were presented with birthday cakes. As our tradition they cut the cakes and later we popped champagne (actually apple cider)! We toasted to them and prayed for them. Everyone spoke words of blessings into their lives. We really had a great time with our beautiful ladies.

2.0 DONATIONS
As part of our mission to reach out to the less privilege in the rural areas, the Marfo family donated clothes and other assorted items to the children at Akim Swredu in the Eastern part of Ghana. We believe that whatever people give to us is not for us only but to be used to also bless others. A representative from Akim Swredu received the items on their behalf. She was so amazed with the gifts. The most amazing part was that our children were ready to share with their brothers and sisters out there. They brought out their toys, books,
clothes and other items to be sent to be sent out there. We believe that freely we have received and freely must we also give.
The Marfo family also received donations from some loved ones abroad. Pastor Peter Borketey of Journey of Faith Missions (Ghana), Dr Glenn Williams and wife of God’s Word Hill and Mag Ministries (US) and Pastor John Abudu of Lifegate Chapel (US) visited the home to present some food items and cash donations to the family. They were touched by the various testimonies given by Mrs. Marfo. She shared the great things God has
been doing in the lives of the children since she started this ministry. They encouraged her to keep up with the great work she is doing for the kingdom. The children introduced themselves to them one by one. They encouraged them to study hard and aspire to be the best in whatever they do.
3.0 VISITS
A team from the Ghana National Fire Service visited the home to train us on the use of fire extinguishers during fires. They emphasized the need for us to switch off all electrical gadgets when not using them. Also, they advised the children to stay away from gas cylinders. They also took us through some experiments on how to quench fires using the extinguishers and sack cloths. The team also taught us songs about how to deal with fires. Mrs. Marfo was very grateful to the team and promised that whatever they have learnt will be put into practice. At the end we were certified!

4.0 EASTER HOLIDAYS
We had a great Easter this year! The children were home from school and Uncle Kwame, Aunty Stephanie and Mama Lanita visited Ghana from the US to share the holiday with us. The Marfo family believes that it is the precious blood of Christ that has joined us together as one big family. We cherish this season so much as we acknowledge that Christ has forgiven our sin with His blood. On the Easter Sunday, we had Pastor Eben from the Journey of Faith Church share the word of God with us.
The whole family was touched. He stressed on the essence of the Blood of Christ and its relationship with mankind. He said; Jesus Christ was a gift to mankind through which we can be reconciled back to the Father. He said, there is no greater love than the love of Christ to man. He emphasized the need for us to exhibit that love to each other to make the work on the cross effective.
Finally, he anointed the whole family and we partook in the Lord’s Supper. It was a great time with the Lord. The whole family was blessed.
