HARD WASTE Moreland residents receive two kerbside hard waste collections per year. You will receive a notice in the mail two weeks before collection starts in your street. Place your waste items out neatly for collection by the Sunday night before your collection week. E-WASTE E-waste can no longer be placed in your garbage bin. All e-waste can be recycled as part of Council’s hard waste service, twice a year. You can also take household batteries, mobile phones and digital cameras to a customer service centre. DONATE YOUR UNWANTED GOODS If you are unable to donate goods to a charity store during opening hours, many will collect clothing and furniture in good condition from your home. Moreland residents, businesses, organisations and schools can purchase compost bins and worm farms at wholesale prices with free delivery and ongoing support through Council’s Compost Community program. That’s 77% of garbage that could have been recycled, recovered or composted. Moreland residents send around 30,000 tonnes of waste to landfill every year, so even just a small reduction can make a big difference to our environment and future. 2020 Moreland Waste Collection Schedule All your waste services are collected on the same day.
