Alignment

• We chose a right alignment for the entire ad because it is aesthetically pleasing and less common.

• It also draws the eye from the top left to bottom right.

Proximity

• We used enough space in between items to create a resting point for the reader’s eye.

• Like items were grouped together, simplified, and organized horizontally.

Contrast• Black and white draws

the eye and creates interest.

• White box for the store name separates from remaining descriptors and links with the dog bowl.

• Black bars draw the eye to important features and assist in grouping similar items.

• Blue background softens the ad, making it less formal.

• Using the same fonts throughout the design provides continuity and flow.

• Same font size for similar or important items for consistency.

• Bold title and address draws attention.

• Paw prints take the eye from title to the middle of the ad.
