    2001-02 Week of Nov. 12-18: Austin Nichols, Humboldt State (Guard, 6-5, So., Berkeley, CA) scored 53 points, including 33 in the title game as the Lumberjacks won the UC Davis Hamilton Invitational. Nichols, who was named to the all-tournament team, hit on 20 of 24 foul shots in HSU's two games and also had 12 rebounds and five assists. Week of Nov. 19-25: Terry Thompson, Central Washington (6-3, Jr., Seattle, WA - Ingraham) was named the Most Valuable Player in the 42nd annual Chico State Invitational. Thompson scored 36 points, converting on 14 of 24 shots, including six of seven three-pointers. He also had six rebounds and seven steals as the Wildcats posted double-digit victories over Sonoma State and Chico State. Week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2: Fred Hooks, Humboldt State (Forward, 6-5, So., San Diego, CA - Horizon) scored 59 points and also had 34 rebounds and 12 blocked shots as he led the Lumberjacks to a three victories, including two in the Ron Logsdon Classic at Rohnert Park. Hooks had 28 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and five blocks in a 11-point win over Southern Oregon on Tuesday. After a seven-point, nine-rebound output against Dominican in the opening game of the Logsdon Classic on Friday, Hooks, who leads the GNAC with four double-doubles, netted 24 points and had a GNAC season-high 15 rebounds and six blocks in 98-91 win over host Sonoma State to earn all-tournament honors. Week of Dec. 3-9: Maurice Cato, Seattle Pacific (Guard, 6-0, Jr., Fairfield, CA - Skyline JC) scored 38 points, including 28 in a double overtime win over Central Washington, as the Falcons opened their conference season with road wins at CWU and Saint Martin's. All 28 of his points against CWU came in the second half. He made 12 of 13 foul shots against the Wildcats, including two with two seconds left in the second overtime session. In the two contests, he converted on 10 of 22 shots, including five-of-11 three-pointers. He also had four assists and four steals. Week of Dec. 10-16: Yusef Aziz, Seattle Pacific (Forward, 6-4, Jr., Seattle, WA - Foster & Highline CC) and Austin Nichols, Humboldt State (Forward, 6-5, So., Berkeley, CA). . .Aziz scored 40 points and also had 10 rebounds as the Falcons won two games in the Las Vegas High Desert Classic. SPU handed eighth-ranked Henderson State its first loss of the season and also beat Ashland, Ohio, which came into the tournament with a 5-1 record. The Highline CC transfer scored 25 points (9-11 FG, 1-1 three-pointers, 6-7 FTs) against Henderson, including four in the final 35 seconds as SPU scored the game's final five points to break a 63-63 tie. In the two contests, he shot 72.7 percent from the floor (16-22) and 77.8 percent from the free throw line (7-9). . . Nichols scored 62 points (16-30 FG, 7-15 three-pointers, 23-25 FTs) as the Lumberjacks extended their winning streak to a school-record nine with road wins at Northwest Nazarene and Seattle. Nichols had a GNAC season-high 38 against the Crusaders, cashing in on nine of 12 field goal attempts (4 of 6 three-pointers) and 16 of 17 foul shots. His lone foul shot miss against NNU snapped a string of 24 consecutive free throws without a miss. Week of Dec. 17-23: James Thomas Jr., Northwest Nazarene (Forward, 6-5, Sr., Houston, TX) scored 20 points and his dunk put the Crusaders ahead to stay in a 62-57 win over Seattle University. Thomas, who also had three assists, hit on four-of-nine three-point shots. Week of Dec. 24-30: Yusef Aziz, Seattle Pacific (Forward, 6-4, Jr., Seattle, WA - Foster & HCC) and Peter Bullock, Alaska Anchorage (Forward, 6-6, So., Anchorage, AK - East). . .Aziz scored 37 points and also had 12 rebounds and eight steals as the Falcons extended their winning streak to 10 games with two wins in the Oak Harbor Classic. Aziz, who was named to the all-tournament team, made 13 of 21 shots, including two of five three-pointers. SPU's 10-game winning streak is its longest since it opened the 1993-94 season with 11 victories . .Bullock had 53 points and 23 rebounds (15 at the offensive end) as the Seawolves lost a pair of home games to Angelo State. He had 17 points and 10 rebounds in Friday's 14-point loss and 36 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday's six-point defeat. The latter point total was the most for a UAA player since Jason Kaiser scored 36 against Hawaii Hilo on Feb. 18, 1995. Week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6: A. J. Giesa, Western Washington (Forward, 6-7, Sr., Kennewick, WA) scored a game-high 20 points in a 104-76 win over Northwest Nazarene and tied for game-high scoring honors with 20 points in a 86-84 win over Seattle as the Vikings extended their winning streak to five with a pair of victories. Giesa shot 67 percent from the floor (16 of 24 including four of seven on three-pointers) and also had 10 rebounds and four assists. Week of Jan. 7-13: Fred Hooks, Humboldt State (Forward, 6-5, So., San Diego, CA) and Gerrit Eades, Saint Martin's (Forward, 6-8, Sr., Bend, OR - Mountain View). . .Hooks, who set a PacWest record last year by snagging 29 rebounds against Hawaii Hilo, had the two best single-game rebound totals this winter in the GNAC, pulling down 20 against Alaska Fairbanks and 19 against Alaska Anchorage as the Lumberjacks extended their winning streak to 14. Hooks also scored 38 points in the two contests and also was credited with seven assists. . Eades led the Saints to a pair of road wins, contributing 42 points (15-30 FG, 3-6 three-pointers) and 19 rebounds. He had a double-double (27 points, 10 rebounds) against Northwest Nazarene and scored 13 points in a 5 1/2 minute span as the Saints went on a 17-4 run to overcome an 11-point second-half deficit. Week of Jan. 14-20: Mike Palm, Western Washington (Center, 6-10, 230, Jr., Puyallup, WA) and Brannon Stone, Seattle Pacific (Forward, 6-9, Sr., Oak Harbor). . .Palm had his fourth and fifth double-doubles of the season as he led the Vikings to their sixth and seventh wins in their last eight outings (their only loss during that stretch of games came at Seattle Pacific). He had season highs of 25 points and 14 rebounds in a 42-point win over UAF and also had 13 points and 10 rebounds (in just 20 minutes) in a 20-point victory against UAA. In the two contests, Palm, who earlier this season had a GNAC-best free throw streak of 32 in a row, hit on 13 of 19 shots, including his first three-pointer in two seasons, and 11 of 14 free throws. He also reached the 1,000 point career plateau against UAF on his final shot, became the 17th player in Viking school history, including four from this year's roster, to accomplish that feat. . .Stone, who has taken on more of a playmaking role for the Falcons this winter, scored 31 points and also had 11 assists (and just one turnover), as SPU extended its winning streak to a school-record 15 with 25 and 31-point victories over UAF and UAA, respectively. He had team-highs of 17 points and 10 rebounds and also contributed five assists, one steal and two blocks against UAF. He then hit on four-of-six three-point shots and had 14 points and six assists against UAA. In the two contests, he made 12 of 20 shots, including half of his dozen tries from the three-point line. Week of Jan. 21-27: Mark White, Humboldt State (Guard, 6-2, So., Bozeman, MT) and Kevin Richard, Northwest Nazarene (Forward, 6-5, Jr., Pasadena, CA). . .White guided the Lumberjacks to showdown wins over Seattle Pacific and Western Washington. The HSU point guard not only had an outstanding 5-to-1 assist to turnover ratio (10 assists, two turnovers), but was also productive scoring-wise, contributing a season-high 17 points in a six-point win against SPU and scoring 15 points - equaling his second highest output of the season - in a 100-86 conquest of WWU. In the two contests, the GNAC assist leader hit on seven of 15 shots, including three of seven three-pointers, and also made 15 of 16 foul shots. . .Richard had 45 points and 22 rebounds and shot 67.8 percent from the floor (19 of 28) helping the Crusaders gain a split in their road trip to Alaska. In a 15-point win at Fairbanks, Richard had 18 points and missed just one of nine shots. He also had six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. He followed that up with a 27-point, 16-rebound performance in a 10-point loss to Alaska Anchorage. Week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3: Maurice Cato, Seattle Pacific (Guard, 6-0, Jr., Fairfield, CA - Skyline JC) and Mike Palm, Western Washington (Center, 6-10, Jr., Puyallup, WA - Rogers). . .Cato led the Falcons to two double-digit victories, contributing 35 points (game highs of 19 against Saint Martin's and 16 against Central Washington), seven assists and five steals. He played solid defense in the two contests and also helped stretch zones by hitting six of nine three-point shots. Overall, he made 11 of 17 shots and seven of eight free throws. . .Palm scored 47 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a pair of wins. He was nearly perfect in a three-point victory over Central Washington, netting 31 points by hitting 10 of 11 field goal attempts and 11 of 12 foul shots. He also had a game-high 16 points (8-12 FGs) and eight rebounds in a 10-point win over Saint Martin's.

    Week of Feb. 4-10: Gerrit Eades, Saint Martin's (Forward, 6-8, Sr., Bend, OR - Mountain View) scored 73 points and had 26 rebounds, accounting for 44.8 percent of the Saints' points and 33.3 percent of their rebounds in wins over Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. Eades had a Great Northwest Athletic Conference season-best 46 points in a 97-64 win over UAA. He scored 29 second-half points, including 17 straight at one point. His point total was the second highest in school history and he also tied school marks for most attempts (32) and most three-pointers made (7). He also made a GNAC season-high 18 field goals and shot 77.8 percent from the three-point line. Week of Feb. 11-17: Jacob Stevenson, Western Washington (Guard, 6-4, Sr., Bellingham - Sehome) and Jason Williams, Alaska Fairbanks (Forward, 6-8, Jr., St. Croix, Virgin Islands). . .Stevenson powered the Vikings to an eight-point must-win victory over Seattle Pacific, scoring 23 points and also contributing seven assists, five rebounds and four steals. His point total was his second highest of the season and his point, assist and steal totals were all game highs. . .Williams scored 20 points and had 19 rebounds - the second highest output in the GNAC this winter -- against Humboldt State. He also hit on five-of-six shots and had 11 points, eight rebounds and three steals against Western Oregon. Week of Feb. 18-24: Eric Sandrin, Seattle Pacific (Center, 6-10, Sr., Bothell, WA - Shorecrest) and Jacob Stevenson, Western Washington (Guard, 6-4, Sr., Bellingham, WA - Sehome). . .Sandrin led the Falcons to their first road sweep of Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks in 11 years. In two games, he hit on 14 of 21 shots and scored 35 points. He also had 14 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and three steals, despite seeing limited time in a lopsided 35-point win at Fairbanks. . .Stevenson hit two clutch free throws against Alaska Anchorage - in a one-and-one situation - with three seconds left as the Vikings won their seventh straight game to keep alive their post-season playoff hopes. In two games, he scored 39 points (13-23 FGs, 10-13 FTs) and also had 16 rebounds, 14 assists and seven steals. He had team highs in four different categories (18 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals) in a come-from-behind win over UAF and in three categories (21 points, 7 assists, 2 steals) in a one-point win over UAA. Week of Feb. 25-Mar. 3: Nick Johnson, Seattle Pacific (Guard, 6-3, Sr., Burlington, WA - Burlington-Edison) and Robert Day, Western Oregon (Guard, 6-5, So., Portland, OR - Benson). . .Johnson scored 40 points in two games as the Falcons earned a tie for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title, by defeating Humboldt State 81-78 after losing to Western Oregon. Against the Wolves, he scored 22 of his 25 points in the second half, sparking a rally that erased a 17-point halftime deficit before falling behind again. Johnson then scored 15 against Humboldt, including the tying basket in the final minute, which set up a three-point shot at the buzzer by Maurice Cato. . .Day scored 54 points in two contests, including 26 in a 77-74 upset of SPU and 28 in a 76-65 loss at Western Washington. In the two contests, he hit on 18 of 32 shots, including seven of 12 three-pointers. He also made 11 of 13 foul shots. 2002-03 Week of Nov. 19-25: Brad Oleson, Alaska Fairbanks (6-0, So., North Pole, AK - Mt. San Jacinto) was named the Most Valuable Player as he led the Nanooks to the title in the Top of the World Classic. Oleson scored 50 points (12-22 FGs, 3-8 three-pointers, 23-24 free throws) and also had 18 rebounds, 13 assists and 11 steals in wins over Wisconsin - Green Bay, Nebraska and Weber State as UAF became the first Division II school ever to win an eight-team Division I tournament. Week of Nov. 26-Dec. 1: Peter Bullock, Alaska Anchorage (Forward, 6-6, Jr., Anchorage, AK - East) earned all-tournament honors in the Great Alaska Shootout averaging 23.7 points and 12.0 rebounds as he lead the Seawolves to a 1-2 record in the Division I tournament. Bullock, who had 37 points and 13 rebounds in an eight-point loss to Wyoming, connected on 21 of 49 shots, including four of five three-pointers, and also had five assists, five blocks and nine steals. Week of Dec. 2-8: Jason Chivers, Seattle Pacific (Center, 6-8, 255, So., Palmdale, CA - Highland) scored 32 points and also had 16 rebounds to lead the Falcons to road wins at Central Washington and Saint Martin's. In the two contests, Chivers connected on 13 of 19 shots and made six of eight free throws. Week of Dec. 9-15: Terry Thompson, Central Washington (Guard, 6-4, Sr., Seattle, WA - Ingraham & Edmonds CC) led the Wildcats to a pair of wins over Lone Star Conference teams, including previously unbeaten Tarleton State, in the Las Vegas High Desert Classic. The CWU guard connected on 13 of 30 shots, including five of 13 three-pointers, and also made 13 of 15 free throws. Week of Dec. 16-22: Darnell Lyons, Seattle (Guard-Forward, 6-4, Sr., Seattle, WA - Highline) scored 47 points and also had 10 rebounds, five assists and six steals as the Redhawks divided a pair of contests. SU's win over Pacific Lutheran was its sixth of the season, matching its 2001-02 win total. Week of Dec. 30-Jan. 5: Jason Williams, Alaska Fairbanks (Forward, 6-8, Sr., St. Croix, Virgin Islands - Midland JC) was named the Most Valuable Player in the Glacier Classic at Anchorage as he led the Nanooks to the team title with a pair of double-digit victories. Williams scored 32 points and also had team-bests of 20 rebounds and 10 blocked shots in wins over Christian Brothers and Montevallo. Week of Jan. 6-12: Maurice Tyree, Western Washington (Forward, 6-7, So., Sacramento, CA - Jesuit) scored 20 points and also pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Vikings to a seven-point win at Seattle Pacific. Tyree hit on nine of 13 shots as WWU won for only the third time in its last 13 outings at Royal Brougham. In two games, including a non-conference home win, Tyree had 30 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and four assists and hit on 70 percent of his shots (14-20). He played just 14 minutes in the non-conference contest. Week of Jan. 13-19: Scott Freymond, Central Washington (Guard, 6-2, Jr., Elma, WA - Whatcom CC) scored 31 points and shot 61.1 percent leading the Wildcats to a pair of victories, including a 16-point over previously unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Humboldt State. Freymond hit on six of nine shots and scored 18 points against the Lumberjacks. He hit on three-of-five three-pointers and scored 13 points, including the game-winning basket from 15 feet with eight seconds left in overtime in a 78-77 win against Western Oregon. Week of Jan. 20-26: Darnell Lyons, Seattle (Guard, 6-4, Sr., Seattle - Foster & Highline CC) and Austin Nichols, Humboldt State (Forward, 6-6, Jr., Berkeley, CA). . .Lyons scored 54 points, including a career-high 30 in a 67-64 win over Saint Martin's. Week of Feb. 28-Mar. 6: Mesut Ademoglu, Northwest Nazarene (C, 6-9, Jr., Istanbul, Turkey) netted 54 points on 21 of 31 shooting and also had 23 rebounds and eight assists as the Crusaders finished their season with wins over a pair of playoff-bound teams. He had nearly identical numbers in victories over Seattle Pacific (27 points, 11 rebounds) and Western Washington (27 points, 12 rebounds), recording his eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season. Week of Mar. 7-14: Justin Bourne, Alaska Fairbanks (Forward, 6-7, Jr., Fairbanks, AK – Lathrop) scored 42 points and also pulled down 24 rebounds helping lead the Nanooks to a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division II West Regional at Bellingham. Bourne, who connected on 13 of 21 shots, had a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double in a seven-point win over Cal State Bernardino, scored 20 points in a 22-point win over top-seeded Western Washington and then netted eight points and a team-best nine rebounds in Monday's championship game loss to Cal Poly Pomona. 2005-06 Week of Nov. 14-20: Kevin Tyner, Western Oregon (G, 6-0, Sr., Portland, OR – Central Catholic) and Dustin Bremerman, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-4, Jr., Yakima, WA – Eisenhower). . .Tyner scored 76 points (29-52 FGs, 4-12 3-pointers, 14-16 FTs) in three games, including 49 in two games at the Wildcat Classic to win MVP honors. He also had 21 assists, 12 rebounds and 13 steals. Twice he rallied the Wolves back from big second-half deficits. His three-pointer at the buzzer was the difference in Friday's 88-87 win over Grand Canyon. . .Bremerman had back-to-back 30-point performances – the first such occurrence for a SPU player since Jeff McBroom accomplished the feat in the 1998-99 season – to lead the Falcons to a pair of wins over Monterey Bay and San Bernardino in the Sodexho Classic. He made 20 of 31 shots, including nine of 16 three-pointers, and was perfect from the foul line (13-13) extending his two-season streak to 18 straight in earning all-tournament honors. His 32 points against CSUMB was a career-high. Week of Nov. 21-27: Ryan Diggs, Western Washington (G, 6-2, Sr., Victorville, CA – Silverado) and Bernard Seals, Seattle (G, 6-3, Sr., Sacramento, CA – Cosumnes River). . .Diggs scored 60 points, including 31 in a seven-point win over Sonoma State, to win MVP honors in the Chuck Randall Thanksgiving Classic. Half of his points came at the foul line where he made 30 of 33. He also was 14 of 24 from the floor and also had 10 assists, seven rebounds and seven steals. Diggs now ranks 11th in GNAC history in career scoring with 1,259 points. . .Seals hit on five of nine three-pointers, including one with 4:07 left to tie the game, and finished with a game-high 23 points as the Redhawks upset Division I Portland 88-85. He also had three rebounds and three steals. The win was SU's first official victory over a Division I school since it left the NCAA Division I ranks prior to the 1980-81 season. Week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4: Travis Kuhns, Western Oregon (F, 6-8, Fr., Salem, OR – Sprague) earned all-tournament honors at the Red Lion Hotel Classic in Monmouth, scoring 43 points and also pulling down 11 rebounds as the Wolves split a pair of games, defeating Alderson-Broaddus 77-76 before losing to Chaminade 85-73. Kuhns, who is averaging 16.0 points per game, shot 57.1 percent from the floor, making 16 of 28, including seven of 13 from the three-point line.

    Week of Dec. 5-11: Kevin Johnson, Humboldt State (F, 6-7, Jr., Oakland, CA – Liberty) scored 45 points and also had 20 rebounds and five blocked shots as the Lumberjacks split a pair of games in the Ron Logsdon Classic at Rohnert Park. Johnson, who made 16 of 30 shots, had 29 points, eight rebounds and three steals in an 11-point win over Cal State Monterey Bay after contributing 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks against Sonoma State. His fifth block came with two seconds left on a potential game-winning shot. Sonoma, however, then scored on an in-bounds lob player to earn the one-point victory. Week of Dec. 12-18: Tony Binetti, Seattle Pacific (G, 6-1, Sr., Enumclaw, WA) and Jeremiah Ward, Humboldt State (G, 6-1, Jr., Fontana, CA – Miller). . .Binetti missed only three shots in leading the Falcons to wins over Missouri Southern and Pittsburgh State in the High Desert Classic. The Falcon point guard made 12 of 15 attempts, including seven of eight three-pointers. He also had five assists and four steals. In three games, including a loss to Nevada, he netted 53 points and shot at a 70.8 clip (17-24). . .Ward was named the Most Valuable Player in the DeBeni Classic at Arcata. In double-digit wins over Chico State and nationally second-ranked Tarleton State, he had 35 points connecting on 12 of 23 shots including seven of 14 three-pointers. He also had five steals and was charged with just two turnovers. Week of Dec. 19-25: Kemmy Burgess, Alaska Anchorage (G, 6-1, Sr., San Diego, CA – El Cajon) connected on 10 of 21 three-point shots and scored 50 points as the Seawolves swept Walla Walla College to finish their non-conference schedule with a 9-3 record. Burgess, who also had nine assists in the two-game series, is the GNAC career leader in three-pointers made per game, averaging 3.24. He also currently ranks second in career three-point percentage (47.4) and ranks 11th in career scoring per game (16.9). Week of Dec. 26-Jan. 1: Lance Den Boer, Central Washington (F, 6-6, Jr., Sunnyside, WA – Sunnyside Christian) and Tyler Amaya, Western Washington (F, 6-6, Sr., Mount Vernon, WA – Gonzaga). . .Den Boer scored 50 points, connecting on 19 of 30 shots including eight of 10 three-pointers, in wins over nationally 22nd ranked Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. He had 30 points (on 11 of 15 shooting) against the Nanooks, including the first 10 points during a 16-4 run late in the first half and early in the second half as the Wildcats opened up a 10-point lead. He then added 20 in a one-point win over the Seawolves. . .Amaya had 51 points and 12 rebounds as the Vikings extended their win streak to nine defeating UAA 112-106 in overtime and Alaska Fairbanks 95-86. Amaya, who made 15 of 25 shots in the two contests, had a career-high 32 against the Seawolves, 20 of them in the second half and overtime. Week of Jan. 2-8: Mike Bushmaker, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-7, Sr., Yakima, WA – Eisenhower) and Andrew Smith, Alaska Fairbanks (F, 6-8, Sr., Anchorage, AK – Bartlett). . .Bushmaker came off the bench to score 41 points, including a career-high 27 against Humboldt State, to lead the Falcons to a pair of road wins at Monmouth and Arcata. He missed just three shots converting on 15 of 18 attempts, including nine of 11 against the Lumberjacks. He also had eight rebounds, three assists and blocked three shots. . .Smith had 35 points (10-18 FGs, 15-23 FTs) and 22 rebounds as the Nanooks beat Saint Martin's and Seattle to level their conference record at 2-2. He also had five assists, two blocks and two steals. Smith currently ranks 20th in career scoring (1,125), 18th in rebounding (468) and 10th in blocked shots (88) in GNAC history. Week of Jan. 9-15: Tony Binetti, Seattle Pacific (G, 6-1, Sr., Enumclaw, WA) and Ryan Diggs, Western Washington (G, 6-2, Sr., Victorville, CA – Silverado). . .Binetti scored 41 points and also had 15 assists and six steals to lead the Falcons to a sweep of Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks. He hit a key three with 24 seconds left in a 87-80 win over UAA and scored seven points in a 16-3 run early in the second half against UAF to help blow open the game. . .Diggs scored 42 points against Seattle – the fifth highest total in GNAC history – to help rally the Vikings from a 15-point first-half deficit. In two contests, he netted 56 points, connecting on 17 of 25 shots, including four of nine three-pointers. He also made 18 of 22 foul shots and also contributed seven assists, six rebounds and five steals. Week of Jan. 16-22: Tyler Amaya, Western Washington (F, 6-6, Sr., Mount Vernon, WA) had 35 points and 25 rebounds as the Vikings extended their win streak to 14 games, equaling their second longest streak in school history. Amaya, who also had seven assists, scored 19 points and produced his second 19-rebound game of the season in Saturday's 11-point win over Seattle Pacific. Week of Jan. 23-29: Grayson Moyer, Humboldt State (G, 6-5, So., San Diego, CA) had back-to-back 30-point games as the Lumberjacks beat Central Washington and Western Washington, snapping the latter's GNAC record-tying 15-game win streak. Moyer had 30 points against the Wildcats, including nine during an 18-2 run early in the second half, as the ‘Jacks rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit. He then scored a career-high 32 and added eight assists against the Vikings. In the two games, he made 17 of 24 shots, including five of 11 three-pointers, and also converted on 23 of 25 foul shots. Week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5: Robbie Will, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-10, So., Seattle, WA - O'Dea) scored 38 points, including a career-high 22 points in a 15-point home win over Western Oregon. Will made 16 of 22 shots, including eight of nine against the Wolves, and also had 14 rebounds and five blocked shots as the Falcons improved to 18-2 with a pair of home victories. Week of Feb. 6-12: Kemmy Burgess, Alaska Anchorage (G, 6-1, Sr., San Diego, CA – El Cajon) had a pair of 22-point games in home wins over Northwest Nazarene and regionally top-ranked Seattle Pacific. In the two contests, he connected on 16 of 33 shots, was perfect from the foul line (9-9) and also had 10 assists and three steals as the Seawolves rejuvenated their playoff hopes. The two 22-point efforts left him exactly 22 points short of the career 1000-point milestone. Week of Feb. 13-19: Lance Den Boer, Central Washington (F, 6-6, Jr., Sunnyside, WA – Sunnyside Christian) and Mesut Ademoglu, Northwest Nazarene (C, 6-10, Sr., Istanbul, Turkey)....Den Boer scored 56 points and had 19 rebounds and five steals leading Wildcats to road wins at Northwest Nazarene and Seattle Pacific. Den Boer made 15 of 27 field goal attempts, including nine of 12 three pointers. He also connected on 17 of 19 foul shots. . .Ademoglu scored 67 points as the Crusaders earned a split by defeating nationally second-ranked Western Washington after losing to the Wildcats. He had a career-high 34 against CWU, then netted 33 in a one-point win over Western. In the two contests, he made 22 of 39 shots, including seven of 13 treys. He also had 19 rebounds and five steals. Week of Feb. 20-26: Jeffrey McDaniel, Seattle University (F, 6-6, Sr., Stockton, CA – Tokay) scored 39 points and also had 19 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals in leading the Redhawks to wins over regionally top-ranked Seattle Pacific and Northwest Nazarene. McDaniel had 29 points, connecting on 11 of 17 shots, and 14 rebounds in a 90-76 win over the Falcons. McDaniel, who has 1,246 career points, became the sixth player in GNAC history to corral 700 or more rebounds, running his total to 713. Week of Feb. 27-Mar. 5: Kemmy Burgess, Alaska Anchorage (G, 6-1, Sr., San Diego, CA – El Cajon) and Kenny Barker, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 6-2, So., San Diego, CA – Clairemont). . .Burgess scored 65 points, recording his third and fourth 30-point games of the year. He had 34 in Saturday's four-point win over Western Washington after scoring 31 Thursday in a three-point loss to Central Washington. In the two contests, he made 23 of 40 shots, seven of 13 from the three-point line. He also had eight assists. . .Barker scored 39 points, making seven of 12 three-pointers, as the Nanooks beat both the Vikings and Wildcats. In the two contests, he made 12 of 22 shots and also had 15 rebounds and eight assists. Week of Mar. 6-12: Robbie Will, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-10, So., Seattle, WA – O'Dea) was named the Most Valuable Player in the NCAA Division II West region tournament, finishing with 54 points, 28 rebounds and nine blocks leading the Falcons to the title and a trip to Springfield, Mass., for the Elite Eight.     Week of Nov. 13-19: Sam Kirby, Seattle (G, 6-0, Sr., Sacramento, CA – San Joaquin Delta) and Rob Will, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-10, Jr., Seattle, WA – O'Dea) . . .Kirby scored 47 points to lead the Redhawks to wins over Sonoma State and Ashland in the Elgin Baylor Classic. Kirby made 17 of 29 shots, including 11 of 18 three-pointers. He also had five rebounds and four steals. . .Will led the Falcons to two wins over CCAA teams in the SPU Sodexho Classic, finishing with 32 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks. Will hit 13 of 16 shots. His nine blocks all came against CSLA, breaking both the SPU and GNAC single-game records. 2006-07 Week of Nov. 20-26: Lukas Henne, Western Washington (C, 6-7, Sr., Bremerton, WA – Central Kitsap) scored 51 points to earn MVP honors in the WWU Chuck Randall Classic. Henne hit on 15 of 26 field goals and 19 of 20 free throws and also had 19 rebounds and five blocks in wins over Northwest and Grand Canyon. Week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3: Dustin Bremerman, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-4, Sr., Yakima, WA – Eisenhower) scored a career-high 43 points and tied the SPU school record for three-pointers made (9) in a 98-93 win over previously unbeaten BYU-Hawaii. His two treys in the final 62 seconds of regulation helped force the OT. He then scored eight of SPU's 14 points in the extra session. His point total equaled the fifth highest in GNAC history and his three-point total equaled the second best mark in conference history. Week of Dec. 4-10: Luke Cooper, Alaska Anchorage (G, 6-0, Jr., Eltham, Australia) was voted the Most Valuable Player as he led the Seawolves to two wins in the Glacier Classic. In the two contests, he had 19 points, 16 assists and four steals, including 17 points and six assists in Saturday's win over Augustana. Cooper recorded his 10 th career double-digit assist total against Florida Tech. He now ranks fifth in GNAC history in career assists (416) and is the GNAC all-time leader in assists per game (6.21). Week of Dec. 11-17: Sam Kirby, Seattle (G, 6-0, Sr., Sacramento, CA) and Ryan Schmidt, Western Oregon (F, 6-7, Sr., Keizer, OR – McNary & Linn Benton). . .Kirby scored 33 points and also had seven rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead the Redhawks to a sweep of nationally 14th -ranked BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific on their trip to the Hawaiian Islands. Against BYU-Hawaii, Kirby scored 22 points, hitting eight of 15 shots from the field and four of five free throws. Two nights later against HPU, he scored 11 points, hitting a couple of key three-pointers along the way in a three-point victory. For the season, he is averaging 18.8 points per game and is shooting 53.5 percent from the field, 53.4 on three-pointers and 81.3 percent from the free throw line. . .Schmidt scored 63 points and had 12 rebounds to earn all-tournament honors and lead the Wolves to a third-place finish in the Lawrence R. DeBeni Sr. Memorial basketball tournament at Arcata, Calif. He made 20 of 42 shots, including 10 of 15 three-pointers. In four games during the week including losses at Oregon State and Southern Oregon prior to the tournament, he averaged 20.8 points and 6.0 rebounds and connected on 12 of 22 treys. Week of Dec. 18-24: Tim Ireland, Northwest Nazarene (G, 6-1, 190, Sr., Bellingham, WA – Whatcom CC) scored 41 points, leading the Crusaders to two road wins at Montana State-Billings. Ireland made 15 of 27 shots, including nine of 17 three-pointers, as NNU completed a three-game season series sweep of the Yellowjackets. In NNU's 90-89 overtime win Thursday, Ireland hit a three-pointer with 1:42 left in overtime to give NNU a 87-86 lead, a game they eventually won on a three-pointer by Justin Parnell with five seconds left. Ireland also had six rebounds and a team-best four steals. Week of Dec. 25-31: Jushay Rockett, Alaska Fairbanks (F, 6-5, Sr., Long Beach, CA) and Ryan Schmidt, Western Oregon (F, 6-7, Sr., Keizer, OR – McNary & Linn-Benton). . .Rockett, who leads the GNAC in scoring (22.3) and rebounding (9.6), scored 50 points and also had 21 rebounds, four steals and five blocks to lead the Nanooks to wins over Hawaii Hilo and nationally 19 th -ranked BYU-Hawaii in the AT&T Alascom Jamboree at Anchorage. Rockett, who scored 33 against the Seasiders, connected on 19 of 32 shots and had eight offensive rebounds, in earning all-tournament honors for the fourth time this winter. . .Schmidt scored 33 points in a 84-81 win over Shepherd and had 49 points total to earn MVP honors in the Red Lion Classic at Monmouth. Schmidt made 16 of 27 shots (59.3 percent) and also had seven rebounds and nine assists. His three-pointer with 31 seconds left snapped a 78-78 tie against the Rams. Week of Jan. 1-7: Brendan Campbell, Saint Martin's (F, 6-5, Jr., Bremerton, WA – Olympic) and Ryan Webb, Seattle (G, 6-1, Sr., Mountlake Terrace). . .Campbell and Webb led their teams to conference-opening victories. Campbell, who ranks second in the GNAC in rebounding averaging 8.5 per game, scored 22 points on seven of 11 shooting and had six rebounds in a one-point home win over Western Oregon. . .Webb tied his career high with 18 points – more than double his season average of 7.8 - to lead the Redhawks to a 13-point road win at Nampa. During a 20-3 run to break the game open, Webb scored six points and dished out two assists. He made eight of 12 shots from the field and both his free throw attempts and also earned five assists. On the season, Webb is shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 88.0 percent from the free throw line. He also leads the squad with 85 assists and is second with 20 steals. Week of Jan. 8-14: Jake Linton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-10, So., Lynnwood, WA – Meadowdale) and Carl Arts, Alaska Anchorage (F, 6-6, Jr., Valdez, AK) . .Linton scored 41 points as the Saints earned a road sweep of Central Washington and Seattle to extend their win streak to five games. Linton scored a game-high 21 points in Thursday's 11-point win at Ellensburg, then netted 20 points, including a pair of baskets to break a 57-57 tie in a 74-64 win at Seattle. He also had eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. . .Arts scored a career-high 27 points, converting on 10 of 15 field goal attempts and six of seven free throws, had also had 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals as the Seawolves rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Northwest Nazarene. Week of Jan. 15-21: David White, Seattle (C, 6-11, Sr., Seattle, WA – Bellevue CC) and Jake Linton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-10, So., Lynnwood, WA – Meadowdale). . . White scored 30 points and also had 22 rebounds in leading the Redhawks to an overtime road win at Central Washington and a 18-point home win against Seattle Pacific. He tied his career high against CWU with 17 points on seven of 11 shooting and also had nine rebounds and two blocks. He then made six of eight shots against SPU and finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and one block. . .Linton scored 49 points and also had 16 assists and just one turnover as the Saints ran their win streak to seven with home victories against UAA and UAF. He converted on 16 of 34 shots, including eight of 14 three-pointers, and was perfect from the foul line (9-9). Week of Jan. 22-28: Lance Den Boer, Central Washington (F, 6-6, Sr., Sunnyside, WA – Sunnyside Christian) exploded for 38 points, including 26 after the intermission, as the Wildcats beat Seattle Pacific 98-91 in overtime. Den Boer made 11 of 17 shots, five of eight from beyond the arc. He was also perfect from the foul line in 11 attempts where he is the GNAC career percentage leader making 88.8 percent of his attempts. Week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4: Kenny Barker, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 6-3, Jr., San Diego, CA – Clairemont) and Rob Will, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-10, Jr., Seattle, WA – O'Dea & Bellevue CC). . .Barker scored 46 points and also had 15 rebounds to lead the Nanooks to wins over Saint Martin's and Western Oregon. He had 18 of his game-high 24 points in the second half in an eight-point win over the Saints, then scored 15 of his 22 points after intermission, including a three-pointer with four seconds left, in a 79-76 win over Western Oregon. Barker, who had a dozen rebounds against the Wolves, connected on 14 of 32 shots, including four of eight three-pointers. . .Will led the Falcons to home wins over Northwest Nazarene and Seattle, scoring 43 points and pulling in 10 rebounds. He made 16 of 21 shots and 11 of 12 free throws as the Falcons moved into first-place in the tightly contested GNAC race. Week of Feb. 5-11: Bryan Freshwater, Central Washington (C, 6-8, Sr., Vancouver, WA – Columbia River) scored 39 points and also had 11 rebounds as the Wildcats earned back-to-back road wins against the GNAC's first-place team to extend their win streak to five games. On Thursday at Brougham Pavilion, he scored 17 points and had five rebounds as the Wildcats beat Seattle Pacific 80-73 to knock the Falcons out of first-place. The on Saturday, he scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 103-85 win over Saint Martin's, which had moved into the conference's top-rung following SPU's loss. In the two games, Freshwater made 16 of 24 shots. On the season he ranks third in the GNAC in field goal percentage (58.1). In conference games, he ranks third in field goal percentage (58.4), fifth in rebounds (6.3) and 13 th in scoring (6.6).

Webb scored 25 points and played a key role in crucial road wins at Anchorage and Fairbanks. . Against UAA he scored 15 points (5-12 FGs, 5-7 FTs) and also had five assists, including one on David White's jumper with 27 seconds remaining to increase the Redhawks' lead to four points. He then made two free throws with seven seconds left to give Seattle its final three-point margin in a 69-66 win. Against Alaska Fairbanks, he led the Redhawks with 10 points (5-9 FGs). He also had five rebounds, two assists and a steal with 1:35 remaining to provide Seattle with its first and only lead of the game in a 50-48 victory. He then pulled down an offensive rebound with less than a minute left to help SU keep possession of the ball. Webb became the fourth player in school history to earn 500 career assists with his first helper against UAA and now has 506 career assists, which ranks fourth in GNAC history. . .Beech scored 36 points on 12 of 21 shooting and also had five assists, three steals and six rebounds in wins over Saint Martin's and Western Oregon. He scored 10 consecutive points late in the first half in a 12-0 surge against the Saints, then hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give NNU a lead at the half, a lead it never relinquished, on the way to a career-high 21 points against the Wolves. Week of Feb. 19-25: Ryan Webb, Seattle University (G, 6-1, Sr., Mountlake Terrace, WA) and Jacob Mitchell, Western Oregon (F, 6-7, Sr., Olympia, WA – Capital – Pierce). . . Webb scored 34 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and dished out 16 assists as Seattle University extended its win streak to five games (four of them on the road) and moved within a half-game of the conference lead with victories over Saint Martin's and Northwest Nazarene. Against the Saints, he scored a career-high 24 points on 11 of 13 shooting. He also earned seven rebounds and nine assists as the Redhawks jumped out to a 19-1 lead and cruised to the 13-point win. Webb played another solid all-around game in Saturday's overtime win over Northwest Nazarene, earning 10 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. Among his assists were two at the end of regulation and the beginning of overtime. . .Mitchell scored a game-high 32 points, including a game-winning tip-in at the buzzer, lifting Western Oregon to a two-point overtime home victory over Western Washington. Echols made 23 of 37 shots, including 11 of 20 three-pointers and also had seven rebounds, nine assists and four steals. He scored 33 points, 27 in the second-half in Saturday's 75-73 road win against the nationally ninth ranked Seasiders as the Falcons improved to 6-1. Week of Dec. 24-30: Chris Bryant, Alaska Anchorage (G, 6-4, Sr., Metlakatla, AK) and Nate Jackson, Central Washington (G, 6-0, Sr., Seattle, WA – Cleveland & HCC). . .Bryant was selected the Most Outstanding Player as he led the Seawolves to two wins in the AT&T Alascom Jamboree at Anchorage. Week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6: McCade Olsen, Alaska Anchorage (F, 6-8, Sr., Riverton, UT – Eastern Wyoming) scored 36 points and had 12 rebounds in leading the Seawolves to two road victories. Olsen made 14 of 23 shots and also had three assists in the two wins, which included a GNAC record-setting defensive performance in a 66-42 victory at Saint Martin's. In the latter game, he held the Saints' Bill Richardson to four points, nine below his season average. Week of Jan. 7-13: Jake Beitinger, Central Washington (F, 6-8, Jr., Port Orchard, WA – South Kitsap) and Luke Cooper, Alaska Anchorage (G, 6-0, Sr., Melbourne, Australia). . .Beitinger, a transfer from Eastern Washington, scored 39 points and pulled down 21 rebounds as the Wildcats swept a pair of home games. Beitinger had 17 rebounds against Saint Martin's, the most for a CWU player since 2001. He also blocked three shots against the Saints. . .Cooper tied his own GNAC single-game record with 16 assists increasing his GNAC career-record total to 704 as the Seawolves extended their win streak to 10 with a 20-point win against Alaska Fairbanks.
