(A) COURSE DETAILS

Name of the Course : MBA Integrated (BBA +MBA)

Intake : 30

Total credits : 128

Total Marks : 3200

Eligibility : XII Pass (Any Streams) or

Diploma Equivalent to XII (Full time)

45% Marks for Open category & 40% Marks for

Reserve category.

Course Durations* : Five years (Full Time) (Extended over 10 semesters)

(*Three years (Full Time) (Extended over 6 semesters)

as BBA + Two years (Full Time) (Extended over next 4

semesters) MBA)

No. of Lectures : 60 contact periods per paper per semester plus 15

periods per paper per semester for conducting seminars,

assignments, tutorials etc.

Medium of Instruction : English

Methods of instructions : Formal lectures as well as visiting speakers (Resource

Persons) from universities / business and industry.

1. Seminar discussion, test, tutorials / home

assignments.

2. Case discussions and Presentations.

3. Role-plays.

4. Syndicates.

Teaching aids : Use of video, audio tapes, OHP, Projector etc will be

made teaching- learning more effective.

(B) OBJECTIVES OF COURSE

This University has framed following objectives of MBA Integrated programmed.

1) To develop the student of BBA at par with changing needs of corporate

world.

2) To acquire basic skills required as per the business world like

presentation skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills, decision

making, other soft skills, basic computer literacy and foreign language

3) Various functional skills should be inculcated in the student which

should give him profession.

4) To equip the students with a high level of conceptual, analytical and descriptive

abilities.

5) Enable them to comprehend and understand complex environment and handle their

job competitively and effectively.

6) Strengthen their decision-making skills.

7) To increase the business awareness and entrepreneurial abilities among educated

youth for speeding up the process of industrialization required for industrially

backward region like Marathwada.

8) To provide basic understanding in finance, business organization and the Government

organizations for occupying positions like consultants, analysts and researchers.

Examination Pattern (Internal + External)

Each semester and paper has:

01 Internal assessment 50 Marks 2 credits

02 University examination 50 Marks 2 credits

100 Marks 4 Credits

Nature of Question Paper

Question No. 1st and 6

th are compulsory and carrying 10 marks each

Question No. 2 to 5 will be descriptive or numerical questions. The candidate has to

answer any 3 questions. All questions carry equal marks. (Paper pattern for 4 credit

paper will be as per CGPA system which does not have any sections)

Standard of passing

The passing rules of this course shall be as per the CGPA system of this university.

The internal and external assessment will constitute separate heads of passing and

they will have to be shown separately in the transcripts including seminar/field survey

credits.

For each paper the ratio of marks of internal assessment in relation with external

examination shall be as per CGPA system 50:50

Marks in the internal assessment should be communicated to the university before the

commencement of the semester examination.

The external assessment shall be based on the term end written examination to be

held at the end of each semester for each paper/course.

For Internal Examination/ assessment passing will be for 25 marks out of 50 marks

and also for external examination passing will be for 25 marks out of 50. Category

wise passing will be for 50% of total marks and in case fraction next integer number

will be taken for passing e.g. out of 25 marks passing will be 13 marks instead of

12.5 marks.

Student attending less than 75% of classes will not be allowed for Internal or external

examination in partial or full.

All other rules of grades, conversation A.T.K.T. grace CPI & final grade marks etc.

will be given as per CGPA system of this university.

Project report & Viva-Voce for BBA VI & MBA IV Sem.:

* Project report will carry 50 Marks 2 credits

* Viva-voce on project 50 Marks 2 credits

Total 100 Marks 4 credits

Project reports and pre project submission seminar will be evaluated by internal teacher

for 50 marks of 2 credits and Via-voce will be conducted by a committee consisting of

project guide, HOD, and one or two experts appointed by the university. Grads, conversion of

marks & CPI & final grade etc will be as per CGPA system.

Important Instructions and Key Points

1. There will be a LOCAL industrial tour for not more than one day during the study

period.

2. A.T.K.T. & grace marks will be given as per other P.G. Courses in the campus school.

3. The questions to be asked in the class tests / tutorials / home assignments / seminar

presentation will be prepared by the concerned teachers and communicated to the

candidates. The school should submit internal marks to the university examination

department before the commencement of external examination. In case of any

grievance to the students about internal marks given by the teachers then the decision

of the Head of the Department shall be final.

4. At the Semester end examination (external assessment) total marks 50 per paper. The

duration of the examination for all papers is three hours. For university examinations

in every paper there should be at least one examiner / paper setter shall be from other

university area as for as possible.

5. It is suggested that a minimum of 10 days shall be given to the candidates for

preparation of external examination after completion of syllabus.

6. For computer-based papers, (Computer applications in Management, e-Business and

MIS), only internal examinations of 50 marks as specified above

7. University examination will be for 50 marks and Practical examination is for 25

marks and will be conducted by the concerned teacher. For these papers internal

marks are for journals 15 marks, seminar presentation 10 marks. The total 50 marks

are given by the concerned teacher and will form a single head i.e. internal

assessment. External examiner is appointed for conducting practical examinations as

far as possible.

8. In case of any grievance to the students about internal marks given by the teachers

then following procedure will be adopted.

Director of the school will appoint ‘Three members committee’ with prior

approval of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor for the constitution of committee. The

committee will be made up of three members. Director of the school will be chairman

of the committee, one external subject expert will be member and 1 internal school

faculty will be member. They will investigate and submit report to the chairman and

corrective actions could be taken by the approval of Vice-Chancellor and final report

will be submitted to examination section of this University for further necessary

action

Objectives: To make MBA Students aware of the industrial environment by self

experience, in plant training is essential.

1) For this every student shall have to undergo practical training of six weeks in a

private / public / government / semi – government, large size business organization

during vacation at the end of the second semester. (1 Credit)

2) A candidate will be admitted to the V semester provided he / she has undergone

practical training. He / she should submit a certificate to this effect to the University

Dept. /School/ College/ Institute. (1 Credit)

3) The candidate shall after completion of the practical training submit either an

observation report or a detailed project report (based on the in plant training) in area

of proposed specialization. (1 Credit)

4) If a student is submitting an observation report, the conditions are as follows :

a) Observation report should be submitted at the end of VI semester.

b) Candidate should carry out a survey project during VI semester. The project topic

should be approved and finalized by the guide. The survey work should be related

to the area of specialization. The survey report (project report) should be

submitted at the end of VI semester. (1/2 Credit)

5) A Student not submitting observation report but the desires of submitting a project

report based on in plant training should follow the following procedure.

a) Student should expressly state the desire of preparing a project report and get it approved

from the guide.

b) Student should carry out activity of preparation of a project report based on in plant

training in III semester in consolations with the guide.

The topic of the project report should be in the area of specialization. The project report

should be submitted at end of VI semester. The Student will be expected to work under the

close supervision of the project guide. Project Topic should be in the area of specialization

and should necessarily include fieldwork in addition to library study. The project shall

include data collection data analysis and interpretation and implication for management

decision-making in the functional area concerned. The student will study live business

situation and use the same as inputs in project preparation. There will be regular project

classes (4 hours a week) including preparation for viva vice. The student will be expected to

make a presentation of the project towards the end of the VI semester out of the 100 marks

assigned to the project report, project work will carry 50 marks and viva of the project report

carries 50 marks. Project report will be assessed by the internal teacher for 50 marks and viva

of the project will be arranged by the Head. The committee for conducting viva-vice for BBA

at the end of VI semester shall consists of four members of which two will be external

members (outside university area) and the other two will be from the university area one of

whom shall be the project guide and the other one is Head of the Dept. Head of the Dept will

submit a panel of 10 Examiners to Hon. Vice chancellor through the Director of the School of

which two examiners will be nominated by the Vice chancellor as per specialization. This

exercise is part of Internal Assessment. . The project report should be submitted in one

Computer typed copy to the University / College. No. Student shall be permitted to take

admission in V semester unless he / she submit the implant training certificate.
