Dear Members,

It’s hard to believe that June is almost here! Membership is strong and growth continues to be fantastic. Thank you for your continued support of Woodcrest.

Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, the pool will be open for weekends only 11am - 8pm. June 20th the pool will be open daily, 11am - 8pm. We are excited for an exciting pool season and have been doing a lot of work to prepare. This spring our team worked on cleaning out the area along the back fence of the pool patio to create more shaded space and incorporate the tent and pool area. There will also be an additional bar for pool guests this summer!

The golf course is playing well, with the bulk of our rounds coming from our members. Now is the perfect time to fine tune your game with private instructions. Bill, Jay & Jamie are readily available to assist you with indi-vidual or group lessons. This spring we made quite a few course improvements, from drainage on the fairways, irrigation additions, treework, cart path grating and reclaiming of ornamental beds on the course, you will be pleased with the playing conditions. Please, as a reminder continue to follow the cart signs, rake bunkers, fix ballmarks and repair divots during your round.

Tee Times

Golf members may book tee times up to two weeks in advance. Social Members, Golf Pass holders and the public have seven days to book. When booking a tee please have the names of all players in your group. Call the Pro Shop to book: 856-428-1243. You can also book your tee time online through our member portal on our website. Click here for instructions on how to register for the portal.

New Walking Hours

Woodcrest is pleased to announce that golfers can walk the course after 11:00 am, 7 days a week. You have a choice of carrying your clubs or using a pull cart.

Ladies Golf

Thank you to all the ladies who joined us for the Opening Day Scramble on Tuesday, May 10th. We will continue to hold a scramble event once a month during the season followed by lunch. A sign-up sheet will be posted with the dates. Every Tuesday at 8:30 am is our Ladies Shotgun.

It’s May! After what seems like crazy roller coaster ride of weather, hopefully soon we all will be feeling the warmth of the beautiful summer sun! Welcome back to all the snowbirds! The F & B Department is planning great summer events and remember the events are always more fun when you are there!

The Mother’s Day Brunch was sold out as we had well over 500 reservations! The mom’s and families all were raving about how delicious the food was. Kudos to Chef Iggy and his great culinary team for the wonderful food. I received about ten emails and a few phone calls from happy members expressing their appreciation for a great member event.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 30, 2016. Woodcrest will kick off the summer with an outstanding BBQ at the pool and tent. Entertainment for the entire family, including a DJ interactive dance party, games and races, glitter tattoos, popcorn, cotton candy and water ice. This event fills up fast, please be sure to make reservations as soon as possible.

Woodcrest remains the premier place for great family value. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in the near future. Come out and enjoy your club! Also reminder, Woodcrest is a great venue to host your events.When family or friends are looking for a venue, please inform them of Woodcrest and our fine food, facility and service.

Stop by Bar 1929 as the weather becomes warmer and enjoy al fresco dining on our beautiful deck! We are planning a series of musical entertainers for your listening enjoyment on Thursday and Fridays throughout the summer.

Summer Laing is one of our new Event & Sales Specialists. She has a communications and marketing background. Her experience is in hotel and hospitality, administrative, insurance, sales, marketing, and catering. Summer will be assisting George Jordan with event sales and is excited to be part of the team here at Woodcrest. She lives in Bensalem, PA with her husband and two boys.

Nicole/Nikki)Hezlep is a recent graduate from the School of Business at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business management while being an active member of both the Marketing and Management Associations. Nikki has gained professional work experience in various types of event planning at The asterism* Group. She has a strong background in the retail industry and years of restaurant involvement at Toscana of Cherry Hill. When she’s not at Woodcrest as George Jordan’s Event Planner and Sales Assistant, you can find her on her yoga mat or watching hockey. Nikki is proud to be part of the Woodcrest Team and is thrilled to help you with all your event needs.
