Installing Autodesk Maya 2015 on Mac OSXYou can download Maya 2015 and the required license file from: http://toi.bk.tudelft.nl/software > Downloads > Software for Students

1. Double-click the Maya installation file (.dmg). In the Finder window that opens, double-click the Install Maya 2015 program. If you get a window with a warning just click Open.

The Maya Installer starts. Click Continue.

2. In the License Agreement window, do the following:Select your Country or Region from the drop-down list.Select I ACCEPT to accept the terms and conditions.Click Continue.

3. In the Enter License Information window, select I want to try Maya for 30 days. Click Continue. Installation of TU Delft license file will be explained later.

4. Select where to install Maya. Click Continue.

7. Click Done to finish the installation of Maya.

5. Select all components in the Select Components to Install window. Click Continue.

6. An installation window appears with the selected components and a progress bar. As soon as all components have installed, click Continue.

8. Continue on the next page of this manual to install the TU Delft Maya License.

1. Download the license files from the Maya for Students website:• Maya2015.lic• License.env

On your desktop, create a folder with the following name:flexlm

Move or copy the file Maya2015.lic into this folder.

2. Open Finder and choose Go > Go to Folder...

3. Enter /var. A window showing the contents of var appears.

5. Open the maya2015 folder in Finder via Go > Applications> Autodesk > maya2015. Rename License.env to License_old.env.

The TU Delft license for Autodesk Maya uses a network license. The following steps install the required license file.

You need to be connected to the TU Delft network via Eduroam or DASTUD wireless or wired connection in order to run Maya. Outside campus connect with VPN to the TU Delft network. Refer to http://vpn.tudelft.nl

4. Drag-and-drop (copy) the flexlm folder from your desktop to the var folder.

Note that copy-paste or creating a folder “flexlm” directly into /var/ does not always work due to permission restrictions that may be in effect. If the folder already exists, overwrite it.

6. Copy the License.env file you’ve downloaded to the maya2015 folder.

7. Maya can now be started. You’ll find Maya.app in the subfolder Autodesk/maya2015 in your Applications, or use Spotlight to find it.
