Life is filled with all Kinds of twist and turns. Every Born Again, Blood Wash Believer,

need to be award of the Battlefield in OUR Mind.

The Bible give us everything we need to overcome the fiery dots (thoughts) of unrighteousness. Romans 12:2 reads; Be not conformed to this world: but be ye

transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and

acceptable and perfect will of God.

Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things

[are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if

[there be] any praise, think on these things.

Renew your mind by allowing the Holy Spirit to wash your thoughts with God’s

word! “You’ll never know Victory until you do!!”

Allen Latham born March 30th and Sherran Latham born May 11th both are graduates of Hughes High School c/o 1989.These two started dating in 1986 and was crowned Sr. prom King & Queen. A fun fact about this couple is they were married in High School in their Family Living Class performed like a real wedding (done as a project) who would have ever thought years later they’d be celebrating almost 25 years in “real” marriage.!! How long have you been a member of New Lake Grove ? Allen has been a member for 37 years and Sherran for the last 25 years. Tell Us About your Family We have 2 children - Shadrian 26 - Customer Service Manager at Walmart in West Memphis & attends MSCC & Allen Jr., 21 is a Junior at UAPB and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. We are expecting our 1st granddaughter from Shadrian September 30th! What are some interesting places you’ve visited or lived? We currently live in Arkansas. We have visited a few places.. Cozumel, Mexico, Florida, Kansas, Texas, South Carolina, Chicago & Oklahoma. Tell us about your jobs / hobbies? Allen is a Licensed Barber and owns a shop in Hughes, AR (Allen’s Cuts & Styles) since 2005..his Uncle Lee Jones encouraged him years ago to purse his dreams in becoming a business owner and barber. He also enjoys his job with Life Strategies where he counsels children and adults with mental disabilities. Sherran has a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in Business Administration and works for the Department of Finance & Administration as a Child Support Specialist I for the last 15 years. Allen enjoys playing basketball, cutting hair, doing yard work, gardening, having family time & singing for any occasion. Sherran enjoys skating, working word search puzzles, shopping, Netflix, watching TV and spending time with family. What auxiliaries are/were you involved with at New Lake Grove? Allen is the Chairman of the Deacon Board, Vice President of the Mass Choir & a Sunday School teacher. Sherran is the Youth Director, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer of the Mass Choir & has been a Vacation Bible School teacher for several years. What is your favorite Bible verse? Allen– John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. Sherran - Philippians 4:13 I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me. What is your favorite song? Allen - “Change” song by his Aunt Dell Nance Sherran - “I Can’t Give Up Now” by Lee Williams & the Spiritual QC’s.
