From our Activities Director:

Camille King

Hello fellow Mopar Lovers,

We hope everyone has been staying safe this past couple of months. We are looking forward to life going back to normal as we miss our car shows, races, and getting to see everyone.

We are hoping that things will get back to normal soon as social distancing is still in place and limits our activities.

We hope everyone is doing great and maybe you are taking advantage of your time and adding to you Mopar projects either for show or racing.

We do need as many racers as we can get, so please check the race schedule and join us for some fun !

Hopefully, none of us have lost any loved ones, or friends due to the Covid-19

Pray we will be seeing everyone again soon !

Camille

Minutes from our Club Meetings From Madam Secretary RENE KONTAK

CLUB MINUTES Cowtown Mopar Performance Team Officer Meeting on 05/09/2020 Present: Frank Smith, Tom Kelly, Kurt Schuster, Rene Kontak, JoAn Deering, Don Deering, Bill Boon, Richard Borisenko, Ken “Cookie” Angyal. 5:20pm Call to Order Frank Smith Opened: Kurt Schuster suggested that we formally install all 2020 Board Members. This was seconded and all members were officially installed. 1. Kurt said there will be no car shows at Summit Racing through mid-summer. He will get with Haltom City to see what the

current restrictions are for us having a show at SpeedTek Performance. The Swap & Shop at SpeedTek is not scheduled until 07/25/2020, so we may be able to also have a car show at the same time. The Swap & Shop typically has less cars so that is still a definite, but he will double check on a combined car show too.

2. Kurt will contact Ronald McDonald House about the Cruise-in and Toy Drive. Richard Borisenko spoke about the Top O’ Hill Terrace in Arlington. Originally the tour was set for 05/23/2020 but that has been cancelled. A new date of 07/18/2020 has been reserved. Entry fee is a $ 10. donation (per person). We will meet for the tour at 2:00pm—the tour last 2.5 hours, then we will go down the street to Catfish Sams for an early dinner at 5:00pm. Frank Smith said he would call Spring Creek BBQ and ask whether we would be able to continue having our meetings there The restaurant can only have 25% capacity). Don Deering said that TMCCC racing would be starting May 17th at Ardmore, Ok. A new schedule will be provided. JoAn Deering said we had no new members. Kurt spoke about he club t-shirts. He said he would get the information submitted as soon as he got everything. Frank will email him the photos he wants on the shirts. Bill Boon stated that “Photo’s by Lydia” is being take out of the newsletter as she is no longer a member of Cowtown Mopars Performance Team. The Cowtown Mopars/Dallas Mopar Club Joint Picnic is still scheduled for 09/19/2020 from 8am—1pm at River Legacy Park in Arlington. Greetings from this “Ole” Newsletter Editor: Bill Boon Well we made through this Covid-19 Pandemic so far. I know it has been extremely tough on some of our friends who have lost their jobs. Hopefully we will all safely come out of this situation, and our economy will rebound soon. At Texas Trailer Man we have been fortunate to have enough work to keep all but one of our workers. But, we are struggling like many other small businesses. I ask all of you, please support the small business community—you can help them survive this and be a part of helping nurture them back to properity. Thank you, and may God Bless & Keep all of You !! Email your articles to—- [email protected]. Thanks a bunch Bill Boon
