A “NIGHT” MIRACLE!

WILLIAMSBURG KOLLEL CHATZOS! OPENING DOORS

EVENT: MAY 28THWith a spiritual joy, the city of

Williamsburg is greeting the announcement that the opening of the latest branch of “Kollel Chatzos-Williamsburg” will take place next Tuesday May 28th. On that day, Williamsburg will be afforded a fresh source of Shmurah for its citizens by the power of protection that “Kollel Chatzos” is blessed with. The kollel will be housed in the holy and prestigious home of the holy Satmar Rebbe Zt"l, at 500 Bedford Ave. and will serve as a positive influence of help and healing for the entire city of Williamsburg!

The Torah Centers of Kollel Chatzos:

The parents were helped after three arduous months of hardship. After they saw an astonishing turnaround through the heavenly power of “Chatzos”, they felt compelled to call our office and asked us to publicize their story, so that others in need should benefit from this amazing opportunity. But why should “we” relate their story? We’re letting “them” do the talking:

“Our saga began three months ago” the Lakewood couple recounted “when our young son suddenly started waking up each night and would simply not be able to fall back asleep for several hours. We tried everything! Natural vitamins, keeping him up late, medical advice, etc. but to no avail. It is impossible to describe the anxiety of those months. Waking up to attend to a child doesn’t sound too hard, but in reality it was a nightmare that drained our energy night after night. We were both exhausted wrecks each morning, barely getting by the day, facing a repeat performance the next night!”

“Until the day Hashem blessed us with an idea, and we signed up with “Kollel Chatzos”. What can we say? It may sound amazing and possibly cliché, but the fact is this: Within “two days” of joining, our sweet child began sleeping through the night again, as if nothing

had happened!”

On top of all that, the parents told us that after searching for the right apartment for the last year in Lakewood, they b”H just found one, shortly after signing up with “Chatzos”. “We can’t think otherwise” the couple concluded “but to continue with our “Chatzos Partnership” and all the wonderful benefits it brings!”

By supporting the “Night-Learners”, they were helped with a “Night-Miracle”!

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.

It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do?Draw out every cent, of course!!!Each of us has such a bank. Its name is

TIME.Every morning, it credits you with

86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to

invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”. You must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.

Freshly ground pepper

2 tsp. finely grated lime zest

Pinch of cayenne pepper

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Preheat grill to medium heat. Mix 1 tablespoon salt, lime zest, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.

Brush the potatoes with oil and season with salt and pepper.

Place on the grill and grill on all sides until golden brown and cooked through {about 3-4 minutes each side including the skin. You may need to cook shorter or longer on each side depending on your grill, but just make sure the potatoes are fully cooked through}.

Omega-3 Fats Benefit Heart Health, Lower Cancer Risk and Improve Cognitive Function

The scientists set out to review whether non-dietary fish sources of omega-3 are as effective as fatty fish-derived omega-3 at managing risk factors linked to CVD. They found that omega-3 fatty acids, which includes EPA, DHA and ALA, both from fish and supplements, do indeed help prevent heart disease and other conditions, despite widely publicized results with conflicting results. They also found, however, that plant-derived sources, such as walnuts, flax and chia seeds, have less benefit than those from cold-water fish, because of differences in how the human body processes these nutrients, resulting in significantly lower amounts of EPA and DHA.

Lead study author, Dr. Donald Jump, hushed naysayers stating, “after decades of studying omega-3 fatty acids, it’s clear that they have value in primary prevention of heart disease.”

The authors cited studies performed in the early 1970’s on native Inuit’s in Greenland who ate large amounts of fish and were found to have unusually low levels of cardiovascular disease. At the same time, deaths from heart disease and sudden cardiac mortality were peaking in many western cultures, where refined and processed convenience foods that were stripped of nutrients and fats in their natural form were replacing traditional home cooked meals.

The researchers determined that many studies in the past, designed to determine how Omega-3 fats impact heart health, had been performed using individuals with existing or advanced disease and taking one or more prescription medications that skew the effectiveness of the DHA and EPA components. By singling out studies on healthy individuals without heart ailments, the researchers were able to determine that Omega-3 fats accumulate preferentially in endothelial tissues to suppress inflammation and improve arterial elasticity, thus significantly lowering the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

In addition to their proven benefit in preventing vascular disorders, the researchers concluded that Omega-3 fatty acids “have been shown to improve visual acuity, improve cognitive function and reduce

dementia; reduce inflammation and perhaps some types of cancer, such as colon cancer and reduce total mortality.” Nutrition experts advise eating fatty fish two or three times a

week or supplementing with a molecularly distilled fish oil to slash the risks associated with cardiovascular disease.

On June 2, 2005, 15-year-old Duncan Dresner stole an earthmover from a construction site in Tuscon. He then proceeded to drive 12 miles through the city. He led police on a chase as he swerved from lane to lane and ignored their commands. At one point, he hit a utility pole and caused a power outage.

In a final attempt to stop Dresner, police officers stood in front of the earthmover with their guns drawn. The earthmover reversed toward the officers, and they fired on it. A bullet hit Dresner in the spine and paralyzed him from the sternum down.

Dresner pleaded guilty to eight counts of endangerment. While Dresner and his attorneys argued that this was a stupid decision by an upset boy, police officers were infuriated by the fact that Dresner carelessly put so many citizens in danger on his joy ride.
