Whenever I read this chapter I always give a sigh of relief that God is with me through every obstacle I or we may all face, especially during these uncertain times. I am constantly reminded that God is faithful, and will never leave us even when we can't see what is ahead. His words are not only to heal and deliver but His words are also

there to comfort those

that need it the most.

Saints, keep trusting in God, through our weakness He is made strong and we will rise up again in Jesus

Name.

Some words of encouragement for you to ponder over the next two weeks

I am reading in the book of Daniel at the moment and have found it to be so encouraging. I was much encouraged by Daniel as he determined himself to pray three times a day despite the decree, signed by King Darius,

(Daniel 6: 1 v9 ).

I have been on my various social media

channels a lot in recent days, during work and in the evenings, and I decided to set my phone every 3 hours so I could pray 3 times a day. This has been a

blessing.

I was also encouraged by King Darius (6v 26-27). He honours Daniel's GOD, as he SAW (6v23) with his own eyes Daniel's

Daniel Chapter 6

GOD at work. God is at work in what we see and do not see. May we Pray and Praise like Daniel (6v 10) giving thanks and continuing to pray, KNOWING our God is able in this time during the Covid-19 season, remembering that

seasons come and go.

Bless you,

Marcia Hird

I have felt the Lord drawing me nearer to Him during this time as I have been seeking Him more and more. The following verse gives me hope and sustains me whenever I start to feel a bit

fearful:

"And when these things begin to come to pass

then look up, and lift your heads; for your redemption draweth

nigh." Luke 21:28

The absence of hope begets fear. Let's stand on hope even when things look hopeless.

This too shall pass.

Encouragement On Your Celebrations

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man

his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God,

for He will abundantly pardon.

Jesus Appears to two Disciples 1. On the Sunday Jesus rose from the dead,

two of His disciples were walking along the road when suddenly Jesus was there walking with them. Where were the disciples going?

❑ Bethlehem ❑ Damascus ❑ Emmaus ❑ Jerusalem 2. What was unusual about this meeting? ❑ The disciples could hear Jesus, but couldn't

see anything. ❑ The disciples could hear Jesus, but could see

only a bright light. ❑ The disciples did not recognize Jesus at

first. ❑ Jesus had the appearance of a ghost.

3. What did Jesus and the disciples talk about while they were walking?

❑ Jesus' crucifixion ❑ The kingdom of God ❑ Jesus' transfiguration ❑ The Passover feast 4. At the end of the journey, the two disciples

begged Jesus to stay with them, saying, "Stay with us, because it is almost evening and the day is now nearly over." So, Jesus stayed and shared a meal with them. What unusual thing happened at the meal?

❑ Jesus broke bread and it became enough to

feed all of them. ❑ A bright light filled the room. ❑ Moses and Elijah appeared there also. ❑ Jesus disappeared from their sight.

The Ten Commandments for younger readers

The Hebrew people had been slaves in Egypt for many years. About 3,300 years ago, God called Moses to lead them to freedom. They started out on a 40-year journey to their "Promised Land" of Israel. Three months after leaving Egypt, they were camped at the foot of Mount Sinai. God called Moses up to the top of the

mountain and gave him the Ten Commandments. Even though these Commandments are more than 3000 years old, they still help us live the way God wants us to live.

1. The First Commandment says, "I am the Lord your God. You must not worship any gods besides me." Which of these things does the First Commandment say we should do?

❑ Make rich and famous people our idols. ❑ Put our trust in God more than anything or

anybody else. ❑ Make whatever we want the most important

thing in our lives.

2. The Second Commandment says, "Do not make

idols of any kind and do not worship them." What does it mean?

❑ Don't make statues and worship them. ❑ Don't wear gold crosses. ❑ Don't have pictures of Jesus in your house. 3. The Third Commandment says, "Do not misuse

God's name." What does it mean? ❑ Be careful not to misspell "God" accidentally. ❑ Don't say, "I swear by God" when you are not

telling the truth. ❑ Don't say "Christ" when you should say

"God." 4. The Fourth Commandment

says, "Remember to keep the Sabbath day holy." What does it mean?

❑ Always go to church on

Easter. ❑ Save one day a week for

worshipping God. ❑ Save the first day of every month for going

to church. 5. The Fifth Commandment says, "Honor your

father and your mother." What does it mean? ❑ Be kind and obedient to your parents. ❑ Do well in school to make your parents proud. ❑ It's OK to be disrespectful to your parents

when you don't agree with them.
