President’s Message - MAY 2017

Hello ladies…. I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and finding time to work on their projects… remember last chance for slab blocks is the May meeting and everyone is surely working on their paperbag challenges due in June. (well at least thinking about it, which is half the battle). I am looking forward to the Retreat next weekend as I have a long list of projects to get done, as usual. I want to thank Kathy Hannin for arranging the thread painting class last week as it turned out very well. I personally think I need to work on my drawing skills as well as trying to make my whale not look like an airplane! But, at least my tree did not look like a monkey puzzle tree… (be quiet, Sherry). Fun was had by all.

On another note, for those of you involved in HAW, be sure to read the letter of responsibilities from Lois to make sure we have everything covered off before the summer as it will be September before weknow it… I, myself, am looking forward to sitting in the cheap seats!

Sorry, no photos to show ! But word has it a great time was had by all! Thanks ladies for your participation !

It was a full class of 18 quilters that watched, listened and practised this amazing technique.

Thank you Carol for this enlightening class that will surely keep us inspired for our future creations !!!
