For the first time, I left with a refreshed excitement for Florida’s future and the possibility that the legislature could become more in touch with the real time issues of Floridians. The issues we discuss at the dinner table and the water cooler. There is an unprecedented partnership amongst the next three Speakers of the House, Rep. Marco Rubio (2006-2008), Rep. Ray Sansom (2008-2010), and Rep. Dean Cannon (2010-2012) to have the people of Florida write a book that can create action items and accountability for the legislature. That book is entitled 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida’s Future. Their process is to have idea-raisers across the state, interactive on-line chats, and the ability to submit your ideas and solutions for Florida’s issues. The growth, hurricanes, limited industry for continued economic stability, education, transportation and healthcare are a few the issues facing our West Orange community right now. Don’t miss the opportunity to take just a few minutes, as little as seven minutes if you choose, to provide an idea or solution that could make the difference of a lifetime.
