The Solar Power Sunrise Intermediate Course provides the technical knowledge and understanding of Photovoltaic (PV) systems. The participants get an introduction in basics of solar electricity, the functionality of PV systems and the concept of sizing of grid-tied PV systems.

maxx-solar academy South AfricaThe maxx-solar academy is Africa´s Premier Training Institute on Solar Power. It was established by the German Solar Energy Society DGS and the maxx solar energy PTY Ltd in 2011. South Africa. Since 2011, hundreds of engineers, architects, craftsmen and interested citizens have been taking part in the maxx-academy training courses in South Africa, Tanzania and Egypt. In 2015 the one thousandth participant was trained in the maxx-academy South Africa.
Accreditation and Certifi cationOur courses are accredited by the German Solar Energy Society DGS (www.dgs.de) and are internationally recognized. Participants will get a certifi cate of participation. The maxx-solar academy and the German Solar Energy Society DGS issue the certifi cate jointly. Furthermore, the participants of the professional courses can sign in for an online exam to become certifi ed “DGS Solar Power Designer” or “DGS Solar Power Technician”.
Internationally Certifi ed DGS Trainers maxx-academy courses are delivered by DGS-certifi ed in-structors who are carefully selected based on hands-on ex-perience, scientifi c knowledge, and their ability to disseminate the knowledge. We ensure highest quality of our lectures by regular internal audits and educational updates.During our trainings the instructors attach great importance to practical examples and share their own experience in the fi eld with the participants. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Klauss and Dipl.-Ing. Clemens Brandt who deliver our Designer courses are both PV business owners. They have already installed several PV systems which range from small domestic systems to large PV farm up to 20 MWp.
In general, all trainers and course contents are selected and approved by the German Solar Energy Society DGS.
