MAXIMIZING YOUR MIPS QUALITY MEASURE SCORE WITH DATA COMPLETENESS In order to earn the maximum points for quality measures for the 2020 performance year, clinicians and groups using Keet, a QCDR, for MIPS must submit data on at least 70% of ALL-PAYER patients (not just Medicare Part B) who qualify for the denominator of each measure reported. To satisfy data completeness all eligible patients for each measure must complete a minimum of 2 forms per case for the qualifying measure. DOES THE PATIENT QUALIFY? ADDITIONAL INSIGHT If MIPS is a CMS program, why can’t I just submit data for my Medicare Part B patients? Per CMS, MIPS eligible providers submitting quality measures data using the QCDR, qualified registry, or EHR submission mechanism must submit data on at least 70 percent of the MIPS eligible clinician or group's patients that meet the measure's denominator criteria, regardless of payer. ADDITIONAL INSIGHT Best practice is to have the patient complete the PRO form(s) at the initial evaluation, subsequent visits on a regular cadence (each visit or every 1-2 weeks), and at the discharge visit.
