First make sure the denominators are the same. If they are not, find a common multiple for both numbers. For example 10, multiply 5 by 2 and 2 by 5 also
multiply the numerators by the numbers. So your equation should end up like this

Now all you do is add the numerators and leave the denominator as it is. As for the numbers just add them and you should get this answer.
