How to Solve Proportional’s
Problem:
Find the constant of proportionality.
Z is directly proportional to t. If t = 8, than z = 84. Solve for k.
The first thing you want to do to solve for k is to write the formula to solve for.
Z=KT

How to Solve Proportional’s
The second thing you want to do to solve for k is to fill into the formula the T=8 and Z=64.
64=K*8
How to Solve Proportional’s
The next step is to divide both sides by 8 to isolate the K. In this step the 8’s on the right side of the equation will cancel each other out.
64=K*88 8
How to Solve Proportional’s
This step you will complete the problem by dividing 64 by 8.
64=K 8
Answer is:8=K
