to make Matcha Cake with vanilla
butter cream!
Ingredients Required
Cake:
•All purpose flour - 2¾ cup •Baking powder - 3 tsp•Salt - ¼ tsp•Teaologists Matcha Green Tea powder - 2½ tbsp•Butter - 1 cup (room temperature)•Granulated sugar - 1⅓ cups •Eggs - 4 •Pure vanilla extract - 2 tsp•Milk - 1 cup
Frosting:
•2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature•1 pound confectioners’ sugar (about 3¾ cups)•1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract•⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
How to make Matcha Cake with Vanilla Butter Cream
•Preheat the oven to 350°F.
•Take 2 round cake pans and butter it thoroughly with a round of parchment paper.
•In a bowl, take the flour, baking powder, salt, and Teaologists matcha green tea powder. Add the butter and whip it until it becomes soft. Add sugar and whip the mixture for another 2-3 minutes.
•Add the eggs, vanilla and milk.
•Beat the mixture in a thorough fashion.
•Divide the batter evenly in the two cake pans.
•Bake both the cakes for 25-30 minutes.
•Let it cool for 15 minutes.
How to make the frosting:
•Beat the butter until it becomes light and fluffy.•Add the sugar, vanilla and salt.•Whisk the mixture, until it becomes smooth.
